As long as it's not my money, I don't care. The dancing girls too need to make a living.

Most of the developing nations are not yet good for democracy...
by Jayanta Chowdhury on Jan 03, 2013 08:35 PM

This is happening in almost every so called developing or economically poor nation in the world. Wherever you look from Asia to Africa to Latin America this picture is clear. The democracy we live in and we talk about is infact a 'Pseudo-Democracy' which is wrapped around 'Capitalism'. In Europe this democracy can be seen as a caramel layer wrapped around a socialist chocolate and then packaged within a capitalist foil. The recent unrest in EU was due to the fact that traditional cut and measure was aimed to reduce the financial benefits to the people which effected to the socialist structure and led to the damage of the overall system. Our country like many other developing nations are suffering with the type of democracy we have as it does not have a socialist base nor it does have enough resources and including human who are financially and socially strong and mature enough to adopt to a fully feathered capitalism. And to make matter worse we have widespread corruption and lack of patriotism among our political system leading to social unrest. This will continue until either we create a social base like Europe or move into full capitalism like US which is albeit difficult without improving life of our poor people.

When the eccentric leader of the lumpens (Mamata B) hobnobs with Shahrukh and Mithun in a global film festival. It sends the wrong signal to the entire society.

How difficult is it to BRIBE DISTRICT LEVEL TMC leaders to dance with girls if each of them is paid ONE CRORE ?

The TMC party members are not happy with this mental case Mamata Bennerji who behaves like a dictator. No one knows what her vision. No one can ever understand what she speaks or does.

So some one in the congress sure exploited this loop hole.

Mamata Bennerjee is not some GREAT leader. She is eccentric and has no direction herself. I think this happened for good.

The CPM people in WB must be loling.

Why is this a news?
This is normally what corrupt/manipulating people do??
Not just TMC, but i bet every political party indulges in such activities.

Democracy in India is just a FARCE.

We need SENSIBLE dictatorship like in China.

Not sure what you see as 'SENSIBLE' in Chinese system - suggest you read up a little more on geopolitical systems before making such broad recommendations. I am assuming you have never lived in China and do not really understand how that system works. Democracy is messy till you taste the other forms! Changes in democratic systems must happen through democratic means.

it was TMC that left upa.
congress doesn't have guts to kick its coalition partners as the whole country knows what some of their party members do.
