Even otherwise, the politicians know very well that the allegation against Kurien was a manufactured one by the CPI(M) to suit their electoral advantage.
That's why the BJP made a token protest only. If Kurien had been really guilty, he would not have been spared, either by the High Court.Supreme Court or by the BJP.
See, even the CPI(M), which was so vociferous in demanding his resignation, became silent after the Govt's statement that no case is made out against Kurien.
This is sheer politics (and media hype), nothing else!
According to newspaper reports, he not only gave statement to the Police, but also held a Press Conference, in 1996, to say that he met Kurien at 7 p.m. Then, what is the motive for this retraction, after 17 years?
Is he so naive a leader not to understand the importance of his statement in an allegation as serious as this?
Before and after Siby Mathews' investigation there were other investigation by the Police. To all these investigations he repeated the earlier statement. So, how can he now say that Siby Mathews changed his testimony?

Get the bank record..the date is clear...if he lied then he should investigated...case is clear...Rape against women and country is grave crime...
He is saying when his testimony helped P J Kurien (happened 17 years back) some Congress leaders came and offered him monetary help which he flatly refused. It is clear then that his statement is recorded as 7pm. Why then he did not say at that time it is 5pm and not 7pm and his statement is recorded wrongly. BIG L.I.E.R

This is what Mr. Kejriwal's Aam Admi Party says, that both Congress and BJP are the two sides of the same coin. They both pretend to fight and oppose each other on every public forum. But in private, they sit together and enjoy Samosa, Wafer, jalebi with Milk and tea.

Like Mr.Kejriwal has done in AAP - Aam Adami Party, an internal Lokpal's enquiry can be instituted on both the parties' leaders by their respective parties - BJP & Congress - to show their honest intentions whether they really want to solve the Suryanelli rape case; or only sheild their political brethen.

Given Capital punishment to Delhi Rapists, we could have stopped such happening repeatedly. Why the government is not acting on public demand - it is not a demand by corrupt leaders like RAJAN.

I also think so. He had remained silent all these years. Even now I suspect he must be coming out his present version at the behest of his party bigwigs who want to avail every opportunity to embarass the Congress

Truth is truth..no matter how long it takes to surface. atrocities against women must be brought before common mass and real face of communist and congress must be exposéd..
THe Delhi youth had done an excellent job but it had no direction. Only benefit of entire episode - Delhi Rape victim family got a flat in DELHI & Rs 35 lac as compensation. Nothing has changed
One more agitation with AGEDA - All the RAPE cases across india must e resolved within 06 months.
All the politicians charged with sexual assault/criminal case - must resign & police to investigate independently & punish them within 06 months
