Maharashtra peoples having good "Sanskar" in their blood, we respect women, we respect law, we respect cops and most important we are too much proud as we are Indians. States specially bhrand up don't have culture, and for money they ready to sell their bahu beti, that's why Delhi is unsafe.

Not for long!
Mumbai is going to look like Lucknow and Patna soon with people from UP and Bihar giving Mumbai a makeover that would make Mumbai look and feel like a home away from home to them!

i donno abt Patbna..but Lucknow is certainly 10 times better than Slumbai when it comes to Infra, cleanliness etc..Mumbai looks like an open Gutter..
All industry in Mumbai is established by "outsiders" not by lazy locals

Rohit you have proved that you are a moron by saying lucknow is better than mumbai.Dont waste your time and others time by saying all this.
sheela means business her name says dikh sh 1t and she looks like one.
and this survey was not taken by the most honest ladies in the world, the it alien mafia queenpin and her daughter...otherwise you will know delhi is safest place in the whole universe.
It is the tendency of the Indians now a days (not Hindustani/Bharti) to malign our own country to show ourself modern. There is a data that there are 1.6 cases of rapes and molestation in India while 32,3 in America 26.4 in UK and 25.2 in Sweden but we feel proud to declare India as unsafe country. It give bad impression on tourism and reputation of India. One should avoid to critisize our own country. Those feel unsafe should leave the country and stay whereever they want.
Sheela dixit cm is exposed as always ..anything happens she ducks it and says delhi police is not under her.. she had been the CM for 15 years and if SHE would have wanted she would have raised a another small police force for delhi itself who take care of security under delhi govt..
She can loot the delhi money by different scams CWG, water scam, electricity scams, meter scam, auto scam etc but she is not ready to spend some money for raising a security force for delhi.. sheela spend some for security in delhi..

and now in election year she propeses elevate road from INA to Qutab and chatarpur.. what a shameful act.. she want votes only and then she'll loot the delhi money...

Yes delhi is safe compared to some dreadest places.. media is hungry for TRP... shameles media..
What Prime Minister has to say ? Centre don't want to leave their control over Delhi Police, let women-folk suffer. Politicians must enjoy at the cost of common man. What is the need of Helicoper for these politicians and at whose cost. Mr. PM just think over.
With the reasons for which our national capital city has been in news of late, is this a very big surprise or a shock? If Delhites are really bothered about this, we should see some very drastic changes at all levels (read corporation to center whenever there comes a chance next). Is that really going to happen???
Re: Is it a very big surprise??
by Abhay Kumar on Feb 26, 2013 12:07 PM
Nothing is going to change!
In fact, the animals who inhabit Delhi will wear this "distinction" as a badge of honor and also use it as a retort to their victims' protests when they are accused of rape ...... "Why did you come to Delhi when it is well known that it is the most unsafe city for women"!
The people of Delhi and their attitude towards women are a stark reflection on the city's polity and ruling political party!
How the CM of Delhi a woman and mother herself lives with this taint is appalling!

But fonia has a different opinion; she had gone to Gujrat and said that only in Gujrat women are unsafe; rest of India, including Delhi, they are very safe.
North Indian thinks doing namardi with ladies is their mardangi. How much you rate them they are taking those feather in their crown. I think to some extent north Indian ladies also like it, otherwise two powerful position are occupied by ladies but the lot of ladies are still treated like animal. Actually the males are worse than animals their.
Re: Dose it bother Delihites
by ramani ramachandran on Feb 26, 2013 12:03 PM
The route cause for this evil is apathetic attitude of the police. Recentely a karata expert girl confronted some eveteaser in front of her father. The police booked her for taking law into her hands instead of going after the anti-social elements. It is high time the entire police force is overhauled and proper discipline is inculcated among this force. As a matter of any machinery where the government is involved should be subject to radical change be it Police, Judiciary, Military or PWD. This can happen only if the netas we choose do their job selflessly. Again, it is we elect these immoral people who talk nonsense by taking bribe/alcohol or some gifts from the political parties.

All security personnel i.e. Police etc., must retire on army pattern i.e. at around 40. Oldis in Police are root cause of corruption.

Dear Ramani..what else you can expect from a police? 99.9% of them are half brain, foolish j@@ts. I haven't been to south india often so i would not go for debate over north as well as south india but yes as far as i have seen north india (mind you i am from delhi) mens here are all a$$wholes. They are uneducated, filthy, criminal minded.
Appears trend is set to call every place unsafe for women, we are making exception as routine and law. This is not a right tendency. If women are not safe in Delhi or in India, where they are. We should not forget we are 1.5 crore in Delhi and 125 crore in India. Crimes not only for women but corruption, extortion, kidnapping, robbery, murders cannot be ruled out. Biggest issue in our country is-none of the criminal is afraid of our Police/Judicial system, which needs complete reform. Hire and fire policy is needed in Police laxity as well as in judicial system too.

when the whole political system in our country is criminalised to the core, what safety can you expect for a harmless comman man, leave alone other factors?
Re: Safety
by A M on Feb 26, 2013 11:56 AM
yes, agree arun. Safety of women is prime, but corruption and other crimes are also big issues. Reform is required everywhere.
