It is obvious that the government did not know (or care) with what speed the speed post travels. An envelope I sent by speed post took one month to travel from Bangalore to Bhopal.

You are an ignoramus. The Nariman who resigned is Fali's son.

The grudge does not invalidate the truth of what he said.

Even Nirbhaya murderers found a team of lawyers o defend them, didn't they?
Ask Nariman if parliament attackers gave a chance to their victims to have a last word with their wives and sons. And ask Nariman, if attackers had succeeded in storming the parliament, would they have given a chance to the MPs to have a last word with their wives and sons? It's good that Nariman has quit as Solicitor General. I would be happy if he showed the same sensitivity towards the victims of parliament attack.
The problem with people like Nariman is that too much of education has ruined their sense of thinking. That is why they use words like 'humanitarian' for such terrorists..who are nothing but demented animals in the body of humans. Most Indians could not care less whether Afsal Guru's family got the speed post in time or not....he had already overstayed his time on earth by a decade..since the time he was sentenced to death by the Supreme Court......the highest judicial body in India, of which Nariman is an integral part.

Let's say Nariman as a jurist is right in his apprehension in legal way! But people of India are not required to be juristic persons, they are more of nationalists than being mere technocrats to find faults in prescriptive compliance! Both are Indians in varying application mind! Both are good for the country! Opinion formed, opinion rejected; let us close the issue!
Opinions may raise eyebrows to say this is not happend, that's not happened etc.etc., but the reality is the execution was carried out deservedly! Any procedural lapse is insignificant because Afzal's family or even people of pakistan were sure the execution was inevitable for the offence of treason proved against either Afzal or Kasab! What else is left to harp on petty issues that would not have any significance in regard to the crime against the nation! It is better to close the chapter and leave the authorities to review their own role in not repeating any procedural lapses, knowingly or unknowingly, in the cases that are set to reach the gallows soon; thanks to a true patriotic President on the first chair of our Republic!
