Veerappan’s associates were given life imprisonment by a Mysore TADA court for the landmine blast,life imprisonment is 14yrs....before jurdgement the accused were already completed 10yrs so only 4 yrs thy could have completed and released. One tamil activist group was not satisfied with the judgement and went appl to SC....and this is the result. this called foolishness the activist group played with the life of 4 idiots.

We do not need anyone, we are already 125 crore, no trial and error method, just hang all who are creating nuisance in society. Biggest culprits are corrupts who are cheating the country.
Who is going to hang the corrupt, those who loot the publc money and stash them abroad. They are also responsible for the death of many people, indirectly.
I append below article 72 for readers, to draw their conclusion about the appeal by the four convicts to SC to seek review of President rejection of their mercy petition.
72. Power of President to grant pardons, etc, and to suspend, remit or commute sentences in certain cases (1) The President shall have the power to grant pardons, reprieves, respites or remissions of punishment or to suspend, remit or commute the sentence of any person convicted of any offence (a) in all cases where the punishment or sentence is by a court Martial; (b) in all cases where the punishment or sentence is for an offence against any law relating to a matter to which the executive power of the Union extends; (c) in all cases where the sentence is a sentence of death (2) Noting in sub clause (a) of Clause ( 1 ) shall affect the power to suspend, remit or commute a sentence of death exercisable by the Governor of a State under any law for the time being in force.
The criminals proved guilty shd be han ged and hundreds of poor people related to this case who still rot in jails,pending judgement in karntaka and tn shd be released,

Yes, you are right. the people who supported Veerappan or kept mum about the movement, have acted due to force of fear for their lives and not abetted the crime. Also, they have also been in jail for quite a long time. The court should view their case on priority and release them on their conduct and personal background. When Veerappan wife Muthulakshmi can walk freely and have a say on the government, taking advantage of her caste (Vanniar) who are sizable in numbers, in few districts,why not these hapless villagers?

I agree. There is no scope for mercy of criminals. The socalled human rights activists are only seeking cheap publicity and playing on emotions of criminals and their relatives.
All say Veerappan made crores on sandal wood smuggling. Can any one tell where are all these crores. Nobody asked and nobody knew. He lived like a brigand and his family lived in poverty. That means he worked for someone. Now who is that boss? The best way to silence all and hush up the whole issue is to wipe out all links. The best way is hang the four and end the story. Otherwise why this hurrying up when others are there in the queue. Rajiv Gandhi's killers are still spared since they will be icons and symbols during elections to remind people of that brutal killing and win sympathy and votes.
