Easy to ask questions like this. Veerappan's anger turned towards policemen only after their atrocities on their innocent people became intolerable. I don't justify the action of Veerappan. But, don't say that policemen are saints. There were good policemen who got killed, but such number of 'good police' is very less. No need to talk to them to find out whether they are arrogant or not. Their actions would speak for their arrogance. Also, do you think they would have spoken to the village women when they raided these villages? It was all along decimation of the villages on those people, which made Veerappan turn his enmity over police as personal. Again, I'm not saying Veerappan is a saint; he was a forest brigand who doesn't shy away murdering people; but, neither police were saints..
This not the time to hang these four convicts. Just for the sake of justifying the hanging of Alsal Guru, Govt wants to show that they are secular, by hanging a Hindu and three Christians in the Palar Blast Case. How secular they are! Karnataka wants to divert the Cauvery issue by hanging the Tamils. What is the difference between the Karnataka Govt and Rajpakse? At least allow them to appeal fo a review.

Veerappan's widow herself says that they are not connected with the blast. They appear to be just daily wage earners attracted by Veerappan, for the sake of their liveihood. Do not hang them until the review petiotion now being filed is decided.

Eye for eye? The history says that the Karnatakan Police treated the Tamils living in the Veerappan Territory (Kollegal Forest area) as helping lot to Veerappan. Rapes, looting and ill treatments on Tamil villagers by K'taka police and forest men were condoned.

If Rajkumar lives todday he would plead for the sparing of the lives of these villagers. He was treated in a royal manner in the forest by Veerappan and his associates.
