Developed White Western country practicing primitive notions of religion, morality, and law. Shows that traditional belief is uncompromising and a stronger motivation than rational thinking, primitiveness is intrinsic to human beings, and development does not change this. Sounds self contradictory but it is true.

If quality and length of human life are given weighted values on tha same scale, then it is possible to assign a Death Equivalent to all human beings. Using such a weightage scheme, one can arrive at the numbers of Indians dying per day of easily preventable causes like non immunization, non basic nutrition, deliberate reduction of quality of life, etc.
