Re: Why REDIFF not published Gujarat Civic Poll results by some one on Mar 12, 2013 11:50 AM The whole country believes that the Godhra riots were done by certain people who have a life long agenda but it is not possible in India to have unambiguous reports from government bodies or even courts. The condition of India is that its citizens can carry suspicions about important matters but it does not have any authorities capable of telling truth. There must be collusion by investigating agencies and their rulers, otherwise the first thing is to seize all suspected money through anticipatory actions and try to get the whole money back into government hands. Cases can go on for a century and might not reach any conclusion. Catching the thief quickly is not very important because nothing might be proved or only very little punishment might be given. If it becomes an established practice then the rate of such scandals will go down. People will realize they cannot keep the money. These crimes involve hundreds of agents, none of whom works for free. If it is known that they might not receive a share in the loot, then they would stop doing such work.
