Witch Hunt--2 Tales of K. Karunakran and PJ Kurien
by Kalyan Kumar on Feb 07, 2013 08:57 PM

In Kerala, late chief minister was sacked by Congress after the Congress group war cooked up a story of Karunakran patronising an anti-national spy racket and the key police officer who played a role in tarnishing Karunakaran's public life was the same police officer (siby Mathew) who collected alibi evidence to avoid Kurien getting into the accused list. Hoax allegations of spy racket ruined the life of many reputed scientists in ISRO after police torture. In Kurien's case the argument is Kurien escaped the hooks of law with the patronage of many powerful who were in the forefront of oust Karunakran campaign.

What a sad irony? The UPA pulls a fast one again....
by Vikas Bhatt on Feb 07, 2013 08:45 PM  | Hide replies

So the sexual violence against women will come up in Rajya Sabha which will be chaired by a certain Congress Parliamentarian P J Kurien who was one of the accused in a gang rape case in Kerala and whose political clout allowed him to escape law. The irony and the joke of the matter is the same Congress in Kerala in power refuses to have the case against him re-investigated and this wonderful servant of the people will decide the passage of this important bill! Did I miss something or is the Congress leader SoniaG ' a mother who understands the plight of the Delhi Gang rape victim's family' dubiously ignoring the irony presenting itself here?
