Who will address men's issues?
by sarkar on Feb 05, 2013 03:11 AM  | Hide replies

What about the issues of men in workplace? Now, for most of the jobs women are preferred against men.
Women also have perfected the tactics of getting jobs and hike using their sexuality. While the boss harassing the female subordinate is common, cooking an affair to a male boss by a female subordinate for benefits is no less uncommon. Whatever the bill is, it should be accountable. Honesty and truth is not gender specific.

Now tell me something - the boss is a male and he exhibits weakness because of male patriachy. The male boss treats women like objects of curiosities because he has never been comfortable or close dealing with women at a social level in the past.

If the society treats women as equals right from childhood and does not descriminate between men and women socially there wont be a situation where the naive male bosses will have to fall for the women working under them.

Do you get that? the fault lies with men not women.

Some opinions go against strict laws or fear of misuse. If that is the case, dont wait for the process. Anybody caught on such offence, deliver instant justice there itself in public. It will rather send a correct message to offenders and save long waiting time to get justice.

Who and how will you decide instantly that the culprit is actually the culprit?? everything you see might not be true?? There should be a process, and we need to respect it. Do we need jungle raaj??

by samudra blr on Feb 04, 2013 01:28 PM

World Wide Misuse of Rape Laws:
--------------------------------
1. Julian Assange of Wiki leaks was falsely accused of Rape.

2.IMF chief Straus Kahn was falsely accused of Rape.

3.Our own bollywood personalities, Madhur Bhandarkar and Annu Malik were falsely accused of Rape.

4.Even the son of Congress Chief, shri Rahul Gandhi was accused of Rape, and the Supreme court dismissed the case.

5.PJ Kurian is also accused of false Rape case.

Apart from this lot of other laws meant for women welfare have been grossly misused in India, The Supreme court of India has acknowledged that misuse which is happening.

Misuse is rampant.

1.A woman can file a rape case on her boyfriend if they break up.

2.A woman can file a rape case on her employer, if he does not give her proper hike.

3.Prostitutes will misuse the law and file rape cases on clients to extort money from them.

How to correct - Look at the basics
by Face Dude on Feb 04, 2013 12:34 PM  | Hide replies

Verma committee report rightly recognizes the harassment to women at work place. Such protection is very much necessary. It will also be necessary to understand why this occurs at a social level.

1) Majority of Indian women have been ill treated for centuries together. Never had they say on anything - even normal day to day affairs.

2) The domineering and patriachical nature of men over all these years have literally stereotyped women into someone subservient, powerless and almost irritatingly dependent on one or other men for her survival throughout her lifetime

3) This tendency of subversion will naturally result in severe insecurity in the women - we are NOT talking about safety - but insecurity arising out of lack of self respect and self esteem.

4) Naturally, anyone who is insecure will tend to overcome the same in whatever way possible - some of which could be manipulative.

5) Now restore the self respect of women and make them feel independent and equally competing to men in any walk of life.

6) If Proactively empowered with education, growth and not stereotyped - women will have no time for bickering and manipulation

Are Indian men willing to restore and provide the self respect and self esteem of Indian women as in advanced countries?

Is there a social setup that will deeply analyze and come out with workable recommendations to the Government?
One should note that culture etc are individual preferences and may be disregarded.

You seem to be the most hypocritical, male chauvinistic and highly unreasonable individual patronizing patriachy. Please live one day like a Indian woman and you will know what torture she goes through.

Why are you so afraid that this law will be "misused"?

Are you "planning" on being in a situation where you think a woman will use the provisions of the law to "abuse" you?

This "preemptive" concern reeks of premeditated criminal intentions!

Misuse is rampant, 84% of Rape cases are false cases. Only 16% are genuine.
A girl can file a rape case on her boyfriend if they break up.
A girl can file a rape case on her employer, if he does not give her proper hike.
Prostitutes will misuse the law and file rape cases on clients to extort money.

Also count how many cases of genuine rapes that occured in the same period, There will be thousands and you will soon run out of steam,
Hence stricter laws are needed.
