Khangrass is possible culprit, as in 1971 also IndiraG foughtWar just to clinch the power back in General elections later. Poor BJP couldnt understand her tricks and Bajpai kept praising her for being a nationalist.

The background is she was in shambles before the war and has to do something to regain her image.

The same she tried to repeat in 1984 with Bluestar OP but couldnt succeed but anyways helped RajivG to get thumping majority otherwise he is a useless wanderer.

Very true, All trade and cultural ties with Pakistan should be terminated , let it succumb with its own beggar like economy .
The Pakis are just a jealous and jobless bunch of people on this earth, they cannot accept the fact that though India and Pakistan got indepandence at the same time India emerged to be far superior than pakistan.

who is responsible ? If not the Government ???
by sam kr on Feb 01, 2013 04:25 PM  | Hide replies

People will spare no chance to curse the government for every mishap and misfortues in their lives, Corruption, Inflation, lack of Jobs and whatever and yes somebody has to take responsibility ...
When in my previous comment I criticised AB led BJP government for somethng like this happening that the Mob leader (musharraf) could dare to enter India , people started stating that it was winter and both Armies were supposed to leave thier posts .....

So does the Government responsibility just end in Winters ??? ie. Saving India's Borders ??

Whatever they can do is just use Diplomacy to counter Pakistan, because War and counter attack is not an option with Pakistan. Remember pakistan though is a beggar but it owns nuclear arsenal . In scene of a war they dont have anything to loose, but look around us we do.

We can disgrace them Internationally and aafter OBL was found to be Paki's Jamai , nobody in the INternational community now trusts the Pakis.

To keep PAK under pressure is the key to peace with it, India must push all seperaterist leaders to POK to keep it up.

That's called back stabbing
by ganajivenmanraj seven on Feb 01, 2013 04:14 PM  | Hide replies

The Pakistani common man should now be awakened to the fact that India never ever thought Pakistan or its citizens as a sworn enemy. We come from the same ethnic background and would have to face this reality till end of humanity. But Kargil changed all that. India dare not ever trust the Pakistani military which runs Pakistan any which way it can. The military is so larger than life in Pakistan that their survival depends on showing India as their arch rivals. Pakistanis should come to these terms... sooner the better. Even Mumbai 26/11 was a scar on the face of the Pakistani establishment, because the so called non state actors were so well trained and meant death as a business. The beheading of our professional soldiers, the crying from top of the roof when we have severely crushed them in every military conflict, the insecurity of the left behind Hindus in Pakistan (they were 8 million... now less than 0.8 barely survive) are all unfinished agenda's. Hope and pray some sense drills in as our patience is now running in over drive. One good thing is that this specific information comes from the professional retired soldiers of Pakistan. There is still hope to revert back to pre-Kargil days but it needs democratically elected Pakistani leaders to take over honestly and with a sense of purpose.

FAILURE
by acommon indian on Feb 01, 2013 04:03 PM

Infact it was the failure of firstly failure of military intelligence, another was the RAW.But in lieu of remembering and getting angry on indian Political leaders ship that period, we should move forward, we will have to make our intelligence system up the mark of CIA & MOSAD.
there must be better coordination beetwen the intelligence agencies, Army and Government. Perhaps we should take lesson from ours previous incident, and should not make such blunder in future .
JAI HIND.
