The lone thing PM Maunmohan do not take seriously is the scams, scandals and political nepotism carried on by members of his government! All scams and scandals carried out right under his knows and he just kept himself as spectator!

PM MMS was considered one of the most honest politicians and a good economist. It was during his first term as MP. But unfortunately his cabinet colleagues have let him down barring a very few like Defence Minister Anthony. Some coalition partners tried to fleece the country fearing not coming of UPA 3rd time due to a rejuvenated BJP and Modi factor later on. PM's fault is he didn't check the rot in time and started behaving like a politician trying to save his corrupt minsters tooth and nail. He even faltered at one press conference when after an emotional speech he turned back and smiled and asked his colleague "How was that". That showed that he is also like other politicians who believe in gimmicks. He also failed to protect honest bureaucrats like Khmeka and Durgashakti leaving them to get butchered at the hands of unscrupulous politicians in UP and Haryana. People believe Modi despite some shortcomings is best suited to cleanse the Indian politics and stem the rot. Hence we must say Assembly elections are Semifinal and Modi factor is to be watched. Con. Men says there is no Modi wave but the same people blamed Modi for BJP's defeat in Karnatka and Uttrakhand (though very narrow margin). That time he was not declared PM candi. Now wins should also be attributed to him. Despite real dangers He held many impressive rallies in all 4 states. If BJP forms a Govt. at centre Uttrakhand and Jharkhand dynamics will change suddenly. This is waiting to happen.

Better sense is prevailing on MMS too late. The damage has already been done. Congresswallahs challenged Kejrival, etc to test themselves in elections. Instead, by passing a good LokPal Bill it could have saved its Delhi govt. They said Modi is only a state level leader while Rahul is a National level leader. Arrogant Congress ignored all the warnings on corruption, scams, pricerise and malgovernance and is paying a heavy price.MMS is a useless leader and a puppet.

PM's speech at HT's leadership summit
by anand p on Dec 06, 2013 05:08 PM  | Hide replies

Be frank, for such a summit you should invite leaders. After going through a part of his speech, I felt he talked too much about bills. His party's GS himself commented the bills made by his party as nonsense so nobody should take his speech seriously.

by prakash sharma on Dec 06, 2013 05:07 PM

we dun mind if there is corruption but not at the expense of nation's development . If the Government is alloting sum funds for infrastructure development , the concerned department must use atleast 80 % of the funds and can put 20 % in their pocket . but in India the opposite happens. 20 % utilised . 80 % in pockets .paise khao lekin kaam bhi karo..!!
