Tribute to Mandela
by Sudarshan Nityananda on Dec 07, 2013 10:24 AM

Author has given a some interesting insights into Mandela's use of militant forces during the struggle for South Africa. Everyone knows about his generosity to even his foes.

Author may not be fair in expecting Nehru to step down after one term, since Nehru was only 58 when he took office while Mandela was 80 years old in 1999 when he stepped aside.
Similarly, to say that Nehru started dynasty politics is wrong, since it was Shastri who became PM after Nehru. What happened after Indira cannot be laid at Nehru's door.
