26.5% & 10.5% in Rural & Urban Sectors, respectively holding BPL Ration cards who are only entitled the receive 35 kg of grain at Re. 1.00,Rs.2.00 & Rs. 3.00 for Coarse grain, wheat & rice, respectively.
All that happens in the end is the ration will land in big hotels and shops . The people who are entitled for ration will sell to nearby hotels and shops at very low cost. Who is the real beneficiary - the hotel and shop owners who in turn pay monthly haftha to officials/executives and local politicians who in turn act as collection agents to powerful ministers. A very commendable job by parliment to take care of politicians.

Absolutely right. Govt should create avenues for earning. But this most corrupt regime is ruining this country by finishing work culture.
We have already Land Mafia, Diesel Mafia, Sand Mafia, Coal Mafia, Minerals Mafia, Sand Mafia, Marbles Mafia. Now one more addition food mafia. Food security for the poor or food security for the food so that the same can be diverted to the vested interest. Bill passed for food security to ensure that the same is cornered by the vested interest. Nominate them in the election, whoever is elected, all these will be forgotten.

This is only a vote bank tomtom and nothing is going to help the poor- this will help the congress to syphon away a large chunk of the subsidy amount
Its all about how to waste the resources and empty the reserve funds of the nation within 60 days and make the future more bleak for the nation.Thats the truth the nation will realise soon. For vote Congress once again has the will to spend the tax paid by the public in clever way which is a waste of resources kept for the future. So the present and future of this nation is at stake because of our expert team of international consultants ..may be trained to sell scrap items not in building and protecting the wealth.
The Bill provides for 5 Kilos per month which comes to 165 grams per day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. This is only starvation diet which will emaciate the needy poor, and for this reason the starving poor are not eligible. This bill gives merely 600 calories per day including pregnant ladies with child in womb, as against 2500 calories needed for average human being. This Bill conforms to Planning Commission norms ensuring poverty and starvation.
