PM's speech ... outragiously party and election speech..
by srinivasan iyer on Aug 16, 2013 01:22 PM  | Hide replies

PM's speech has not only been disappointing and least motivating but also been party speech for elections!
Shameless PM has parrotted the party achievement speech!
Since it has no creadentials of Prime Minister of the nation, it needs to be refuted! and attacked!
Pm has utilised this glorious occasion to showcase his party affiliation rather than national aspirations.
In contrast, the Presidents speech ranks better statesman like and befitting the nations crissis, sensibilities, positive and yearnings!
Other than ranting 'last decade - his govt' it would have been better had he even once referred once to the nation builders other than his party!
Least of all downright comdemnable speech!

The Govt is now destroying 800 tonnes of wheat per day. NO PLACE FOR STORAGE. 20 Million tonnes of wheat are stored in open fields. They are now being damaged by rain DAILY because of fungus. Already FCI loses a few tons because of rats eating the wheat.

800 TONS - It can feed 800000 lakh people for one day.

Its a strategy to destroy the wheat. Ruined wheat is used to make alcoholic drinks and probably it gives more profit than selling it to common people on Ration stores.

Pity those who had to endure the speech. Those few minutes probably were the worst ordeal.
This gives a feeling of being back in school with a Principal during the assembly. Surely, the PMO could have done a better job.

Food Security Bill
by rajat lahiry on Aug 16, 2013 08:44 AM

PM was asked by Sonia Gandhi to include mentioning about food security bill & he did in his speech. He should therefore answer if food was available at Rs 5/- & Rs 12/-, then what was the necessity & hurry about increasing the salaries of the MP's by five times? He should have moved a bill for reducing the salaries & thus save tax payers money.

Prime Minister's Speech not accurate
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Aug 16, 2013 06:26 AM  | Hide replies

The speech by the prime minister Dr. Man Mohan Singh on India's Independence Day had good content but also had a few lies and inaccuracies. After Mr. Jawaharlal Nehru, the next competent prime minister was Mr. Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Dr. Singh extolled the virtues of incompetent leaders of the Congress era, including Mrs. Indra Gandhi and Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, who did very little for national progress. The next good Congress prime minister was Dr. Singh himself. We should pray that he be not replaced by Mr. Rahul Gandhi, the epitome of incompetence and inefficiency.

90% of the schemes, awards, stadiums, airports etc. etc. have been named after Nehru,Rajiv Gandhi & Indira Gandhi. It appears that only these three persons have worked for the nation & people like Shastry,Morarji Desai,Sardar Ballabhbhai Patel, Bajpayee, Narasingharao are all useless people.
