Why is IAS said to be an all India service if the officers are at the mercy of street politicians and local gangsters?

Winston Churchill prophetically said in June, 1947 during a debate about Indian independence in the British Parliament- "Power will go to the hands of rasca1s, rogues, freebooters' all Indian leaders will be of low calibre and men of straw. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles. Not a bottle of water or loaf of bread shall escape taxation; only the air will be free and the blood of these hungry millions will be on the head of Attlee(the then PM)".

What he said 65 years ago, truly fits in all respects. India, it seems, truly lost in political squabbles, scandals and other present day maladies viz. corruption, nepotism, misuse of power, etc. etc.

And look at the height of religious votebank appeasement! An illegal construction was demolished based on complaints and promptly the officer is penalised!

What should be done by the SP is to issue an open invitation to construct mosques on the official premises, quarters and private properties of the Mulayam Singh Yadav clan!

If a Hindu temple #500 year old!) had been demolished the persons responsible would have been rewarded and given national honours.

Why not good Muslims come out and say that what the IAS officer did is correct ? Are you longing for minority appeasement ?

Colgate and Hindustan Uniliver should take note of Akhilesh's teeth. Can be good for their ads. That may be a better profession for Akhilesh.

All the most corrupt, sleazy, dishonest, chronic 'moral turpitude'and, of course, the lazy IAS & IPS communities should be sent to UP as it is their natural habitat. And all good IAS & IPS officers unfortunately remained in UP should be liberated and send to other States of their choice. [At least as long as those yadav khandan reign the State]

What else did you expect from the gang of thugs & hooligans that Mulayam Singh & his family lead?

What are Akhilesh Yadav's credentials to be the CM of UP, India's largest state? What are Dimple Yadav or Ram Gopal Yadav's qualifications to be Lok Sabha MPs? Only that they are related by blood or marriage to India's most politically PROMISCUOUS politician- Mulayam Singh Yadav?

Khushwant Singh famously remarked that "Indian commoners are among the stuxpidest in the world; they re-elect thieves"

So true in the case of UP where they reelected the SP!
