Need of the hour is not strict legislation but to start clearing up the mess called Indian educational system. A system that produces directionless citizens that run behind money like blood-thirsty zombies.
Unless this is addressed, social problems will keep piling on.
So the baby thief has been caught and the baby recovered safe and sound. So far so good. But what next? What about quickly punishing the seller, buyer and the accomplices? I cannot imagine why a court cannot decide this case in 7 days and award the necessary punishment to all concerned.
Such news are given by the media no doubt but in most of the cases the sequel remains unknown.

Either our courts / judges are operated remotely by our politicians (for their personal benefit) or there are loop holes in our constitution.

This is the power of feudal-capitalist society wrapped with a misnomer called democracy.Since its birth this system has never tried to address the social, economic and political inadequacies of this country. In fact the ruling class comprised of the nexus of politicians, corporate and business along with the bureaucracy has benefited from the differences caued by the said reasons and actually tried to benefit out of it. We are top in the world on all the negative parameters of HDI. Doesn't that ashame us of calling ourselves a democracy.
