Democracy
by MM on Apr 02, 2013 09:51 AM  | Hide replies

India is a democratic country. Hence good and bad of leaders reflect the morality of public (voters).. hence, whether it is center or state, at the end of the day, people get whatever they deserve.. no pity or consolations.. Indians, by nature are fond of respecting/bend for foreigners than own people.. when NDA (center) and parties like TDP (AP) were doing well.. people became greedy and thought a change to UPA will be still better (even after tasting 60 years of Cong. rule).. and got bowled.. wise voters like Gujaratis stuck to one fellow and got rich dividends.
Now it is difficult to get rid of this UPA due to many factors..one of them is recent ITL-marines episode..that shows ITLs are capable of doing any gamble.. what is the gauarntee that they would not tamper EVMs?
As I said, people get whatever they deserve.

All the best

You are absolutely rigtht..In India the major players like the big Businesshouses, the media, the banks, the government servants, the minority are all comfortable with the congress and if u have noticed every second person in INdia on the excuse of price rise wud try to loot the fellow countrymen..and this is the general nature of we Indans..we talk of scams and corruption but we are not exceptions we are more comfortable with it that is why chose those to rule us who have a proven track record. And your words are right that we deserve this only and nothingelse.

I can't agree more with both of you..!! :-)
What we deserve, we got. To ask for better, we should first qualify ourselves.
If UPA-2 has to be described in one word, it can be nothing but 'Corruption'. Probably, 'scam' can replace this? Corruption is the cause and Scam is the result.
One thing we as a country forget is, if we are transparent in every transaction and have zero tolerance for corruption, we can achieve a lot, really a lot, than what we are doing now.
I don't think people are corrupt just because they have the opportunity. It is the lack of fear for punishment, even if caught. We are seeing CLASSIC Examples of people who have misused their position, babus supporting them even after everything is exposed in the media and above all any wrong-doer in every field having a political nexus to escape even if caught. These are to be pondered and resolved with iron hand.
Do we have the guts collectively to throw out such corrupt politicians? If not, we will get a worse govt. than UPA-2; probably, a 'better' one for corrupt authorities & people..!!
If such a situation continues, God save this country!

I read about the Vadra's Rajasthan Land speculations in this article...its a case of very high magnitutde, last month only I had gone to Jaipur and explored the realty market as one of my relatives wants to buy a flat there, but to my utter surprise the prices of the flats have gone up by 150 to 266 per cent in one year particularly in last six months(this is time when Kejriwal first came out with revelations on Vadra land deals) i.e. a flat which was available for 20 lacs one year ago is now prices at 4o to 45 lacs...and people in Rajasthan have made land trading a business..that too in place like Jaipur which still doesnot offer much employability...anyhow the relative dropped the idea ...The prices may or maynot correct but the insatiable greed for money and anti aam aadmi policy of this party perhaps knows no bounds as the realty drama of this party since 2004 have one hand given oppoertunity to the builders to amass huge wealth and do arbitrary pricing on the other hand it has deprived many people of their right to have a roof of their own on their heads and those who can afford to pay EMIs a major chunk of their EMIs wud fill the coffers of the banks and give them sure and permanent business. To end this Jamai and Son land nexus the dethroning of this party is must.

Waste of time
by Prem Mohan on Apr 02, 2013 07:45 AM  | Hide replies

This anti-Congress article is a sheer waste of time. No less a person than the Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh has assured us that the UPA-2 government will run its full course.

In any case, the people of India, particularly the minorities and weaker sections of society, will give the Congress a resounding mandate under the leadership of Mdm Sonia Gandhi, Dr Manmohan Singh, Mr Rahul Gandhi, Ms Priyanka Gandhi and Dr Robert Vadra.

Mr. Mohan,

I know you hate Modi. Well if Modi has done something wrong I too will hate him.
But we can't ignore the development work done by him.
I know that he may be autocrat, but looking at the dire state of our economy, we require autocrat.
Even Mr. MK Gandhi was adamant and thats why we people are not leaving in colonial India but in free India.
What about Bose, Bhagat singh and other revolutionaries, they were all adamant( Will power was strong) and we respect them all.
We require strong willed PM not a puppet or one who juss try to appease allies.
Do understand that what we require is development, Job Security, Which by any means current govt. not providing us.
If still you want to support congress, i feel u guys must be having some vested interest.
Sauvi

Saurav..what I doubt is there are many Muzzies donning Hindu names and sympathizers like Teesta Setalvads active on the discussion board who, on the basis of political allegations try to paint a person as killer, rapists etc. but till date no court of law, despite the best efforts of the opponents, has held him a culprit. the dishonest fear him because although he is not qualified but he is better than hyped and failed economists..he is a real worker in building his state and ultimately contributing to the nation building...his development models are not based on artificially hiked prices of realty and property...and the supporters of the dishonest are trying to bring disrepute to him.

she commands respect, when her husband died , the grate Congress gave her the party leadership on a flatter, but she refused it. if she is power hungry, she could have accepted it and become a PM at that time, and she was away from real politics for 6 years it is only after we Indians fell to her feet and requested her to come lead the congress and nation that she came, when we can not manage on our own why blame her for our mistakes.i am not a congress supporter, but i respect Mrs Soniya Gandhi
