Let us see Secretary of State Hilrary Cliton Director of Walmart
by Sanjay on Sep 28, 2012 12:24 AM  | Hide replies

And the Indian government not only allows it in the wholesale business in 2006 but now into the retail business a company that pays minimum wages, imports most goods from China.

Really Congress party facilitating this is not politics of selling your country. Indian retail around employees around 400 million people and has a turnover of 400 billion. Organized retail like Wal-mart for the fiscal year ending January 31, 2011, Wal-Mart reported a net income of $15.4 billion on $422 billion of revenue with a 24.7% gross profit margin. The corporation's international operations accounted for $109.2 billion, or 26.1%, of total sales and around only 2 million people are employed Walmart. Think how many industries will be closed, how many farmer suicide. Walmart is in Wholesale since 2006 and we see only prices going up. Throughout America Walmart is held as the number one reason for economic slump as they are a monopoly having too many criminal practices like sealing of Delhi based on a 1960's master plan in 2006, when a defunct government cannot produce a master plan for forty years for that untold number of businesses were sealed to facilitate organized retail and Wal-mart which they talked of its entry in 2006.

What will be industry after Walmart? Walmart's constant demand for lower prices caused Kraft Foods to "shut down thirty-nine plants, to let go [of] 13,500 workers, and to eliminate a quarter of its products

Will Wal-mart be facilitated like Coke-cola that over ten years did not pay income tax, and other taxes. Shame Shame government while they bought out domestic cold drink industry.

Mamata and interview
by G Krishnan on Sep 27, 2012 11:38 PM

Mimicking might not have been in good taste. But so is MMS' body blow in terms of Sharing of river water with Bangladesh and FDI in retail. Why was she not consulted before moving on these issues and bring in International shame as well as breach of trust with in policy making for the country. As regards the FDI in retail let the Bengal Congress prevail on MMS to take a vote of the Nation on this issue. May be then their misconceptions will get cleared.

Whatever Mamata said is very correct. A country of 100 crores and more cannot find an elected prime minister. This is a joke on our democracy. All the the M's mentioned by her- Montek, Manmohan, Mayavati, Mulayam, supported by money, muscle, mafia and media are out to sell the country to the foreigners. Congress is the chief facilitator of this transition. Their leaders' arrogance is indicative of their living in fool's paradise and are signs of the crumbling empire. This is proved by history and by recent upheavals in many dictatorial countries.

Antony, please note bulk of our countrymen live on the streets. We need fighters like her for the country. We don't need people for serving only one percent of the populace indulging in share market.

Mamta is on a path to destroy Bengal
by Ranjan Chowdhury on Sep 27, 2012 09:09 PM  | Hide replies

Mamata has absolutely zero knowledge about economics. As long as she is ruling bengal not a single industry will set foot in Bengal. She is worse than what Marxists used to be in the seventies and eighties in Bengal.

Mamata has the sure recipe for destruction of Bengal. She is only riding the 'populist' tiger and fooling the population. It is a pity that the 'so called' intellectuals of Bengal are failing to understand the basics of today's economy. Bengalis are a bunch of emotional people and are blindly supporting her. Trust Mamata. She will lead Bengal to a path of 'No Return'.

Another thing, evry other national party knows her very well. They will think hundred times before going in to an alliance with her. Her track record in national politics is so bad.

That is why the knowledgeable people have brought the country's economics to the pre 1991 level in 2012. This is the self admission by the so called wizard. When such achievement has been made can we trust the same people to take us out of the morass. We obviously need a new team with 'grass root' knowledge.
