the opposition of "river Linking Project is politically motivated . Every year thousands of Croores is being Spent on Famine or Flood Control , but no permanent Solution achieved neither our political leaders / NGO / Bureaucrats wanted resolved. out of thousands of crores is being spent on famine / flood Control/Relief handsome amount is shared Regularly every Year by Politicians /bureaucrats with the collusion of so called NGOs ,How they can loose share.still no. states are involved in Conflict of sharing River water or reservoirs like Karnatak,Tamil nadu,AP, MH, Rajasthan, Punjab and within countries Nepal , Pakistan, China,Bangladesh etc. now China has created Havock by Controlling Brahamputra river with Dam with Hydel and Irrigation facilities. it will great Famine and later Flood when raining.it is very essential to have Regional water linking Grids instead national grid one.if we sum up amount spent on flood and famine so far since sixties ( at current rupee valuation),it will be more than amount required for River linking Project. the cost of Project is Much lesser than what has been Scammed in 2G and Coal Scam of Past 8 years.
Interlink all rivers of India in such a way that it becomes beneficial to each and every inch of India. In such a scenario, the situation of flood can be overcome to a greater extent (see how assam and other north eastern states are suffering now)... I guess people must start thinking in the interest of the nation.
Unable to understand how SC comes into picture for this issue. Few people do not have any work, their energy is wasted in negativity, since 50% Indians are under employed, they all are available for all such nuisance.
