There was no reason for Ravi Shankar Prasad to
court arrest as he was to be arrested anyway
for digging his nose in front of Soniaji.

Many many Kirana shops do this:
1. Sell substandard goods.
2. Cheat.
3. Pay no Taxes
4. Rude
5. Hoard goods.

Kirana Shops know that - COMMON MAN HAS NO CHOICE.

Big Retailers are going to
1. provide ONE MORE CHOICE
2. Efficient Supply Chain System.
3. Benefit to Farmers.
4. pay Taxes

Same arguments used to be brought against Liberalization - but what happened? Everyone benefitted. Per Capital Income of Indians is several times higher in just 20 years.

Politicians are just fooling people. Many Thugs want to LANUCH THEIR CAREERS by Protesting AGAINST Anything THEY CAN.

Economic Reforms

We have seen many people debate regarding FDI in retail and the situation has reached to the extent that the government is in danger of being ousted. On this, what I feel is that in case people have differences of opinion, the issue must be discussed first. Many political parties objected to this citing that it is against the farmers and small Kirana shops. Even some of them quoted, based on survey conducted in other countries by independent agencies, about the negative impact caused due to such large scale Retail chains in other countries, while nobody tried to spoke about its advantages. In the first instance, I think either these parties want to mislead the public /country for political gains and tarnish the government as they are hardly concerned about country’s economic development.
Let me make it very clear to every one that in case the scheme is likely to cause some negative impact if implemented as it is in India, considering the negative impact it has caused in other countries based on surveys already conducted, we may frame the policy in such a way that implementation does not cause any negative impact in our country. This can be done collectively after discussing about it in parliament or a coordination committee may be formed, consisting of responsible representatives of all political parties and all state governments.

Further, how many of these Kirana stores pay taxes. When we go to stores like Spencers, More, etc., they give us proper bill and pay tax to the government. However, neither these Kirana stores give us proper bills nor pay taxes even though they collect MRP (the price inclusive of all taxes) from the consumers. I feel that this is bigger than biggest of the scams that has been taking place in India.
And as a consumer, such large stores may be beneficial to Consumers as well as to the government because consumers will get quality products and services while the government ‘s tax revenue (which we have been paying to the Kirana stores, whom our parties want to protect, but never reach the government) will go up substantially. Now, my view is that why is it necessary to protect such groups that provide poor products and services!!!
What is important to note is the positive impact like rupee appreciation, investment in stock markets, etc. after announcement of the economic reforms.

. Discuss the issue, frame the policy according to our requirement and implement it. This has to be done collectively, which will help in implementing such reforms that aid economic development in the country. The parties must approach the issue with a positive mind and work for economic development of the country rather than opposing it just for the sake of opposing it and resorting to bring down the government, strikes and Bandhs causing economic hindrance etc.
Further, I feel that while these parties were vigorously vouching for Kirana stores and farmers, we found that nobody is concerned about protecting the interests of the real KING OF THE MARKET - THE CONSUMERS. Any market can exist with Consumers only and at present, the consumer is the real loser in Indian market.
The current situation is that in most of the so called Kirana stores, whom our political parties want to protect, we get really substandard items while we have to cough up full payment. Considering the quality and quantity of these items and services, such prices seem to be higher. They do not hesitate to supply adulterated products, rotten food items and above all, the consumers are cheated in quantity as well. And not but least, they provide poor service also. And for all these, the consumer has to pay what they demand. However, these parties were not there to vouch for the consumers.

Bandh Loss

Whatever loss has caused to the public as well as private properties by these parties, it must be recovered from them. It is difficult to estimate the loss due to inconvenience caused to public though

Brainless leader of India, why brainless ?
Most of people here think only party line and never comments or think beyond party line but as my past experience in 1986 when Mr.Rajiv Gandhi bring IT in India,99% people of India criticize this, that this will bring unemployment in every sector. What happen after that? Now IT sector is the major sector which is generating many employments.
Opposing it only because of party line is wrong
