It is understandable

In the entire article, the author did not say what about the instruments that are used by dentist in an HIV patient used on another patient. Today disposable syringe came into existence because of that reason. That is about dentistry. We should have a separate hosptal for HIV patients with all facilities so that there is no spread by mistake which is very common in Govt hospitals

by kallol paul on Sep 12, 2012 11:33 PM

That will be more important than how aids being handled there.

Govt hospitals mostly lack basic ambulance and free medicines in most cases. Forget about hygiene doctor or higher diseases.

Holier than thou
by Small Tribe on Sep 12, 2012 06:22 PM

The fault lies in the higher ups who have a holier than thou attitude and will not tolerate it if they treat HIV patients as others. They will be called ignorant or worse and may soon be asked to leave. In India jobs are always hard to come by.

If these officials do not have even the basic knowledge of a commonly known disease, what are they good for?

Did Govt. made any effort to make them aware of the fact and what precaution is to be taken. A general visitor to govt hospital is very poor and ignorant of anything like HIV/HCV/HBSAg and infection

Government needs to take action
by Common Man on Sep 12, 2012 05:54 PM

Govt needs to take action on such initiatives to create awareness on healthcare and community education

rather than take revenge on cartoonists, RTI activits and create rules for paying salary to wife
