After 62 years of independence,we should be practical and look into the issues in larger prospective.making cartoon describing corruption is a inssult to nation but politicians looting this country should be trated as traters and put into jails.I endorese the epression of protest by Mr Trivedi and congrulate for the recognition by US based organization.In India only politician like Laloo,Mayawati & Pawar will be recognized.Shame

The whole UPA is intolerant and crazy in power and abusive of their powers to clamp down on freedom of speech and cartoonists who express their views on their misdeeds, be it inefficiency or corruption? Mamta Bannerjee is not ruling Mumbai and authorities here have been insane enough of charging a cartoonist and an Anna supporter with sedition and 'insulting national honour'. Please if national honor is so sacrosanct, arrest first the corrupt politicians and those who bring disgrace in parliament by physically fighting there.?

Police had fixed Trivedi for his best cartoons. The law and order has remained peaceful on the BKC ground. Now our constitution already misrepresented by Raj Thakre Digvijay etc.

Raj not yet arrested but definitely he had evoked beyond sentiments of Hinduism. His one point agenda was police chief resignation.
This UPA government is worse than the British. They equate anything said against the government as against India. This mindset was promulgated by Devakanta Barooah before the emergency when he coined the slogan "Indira is India and India is Indira" You know what happened after the Emergency. On the one hand they allow a scoundrel like Raj Thackeray to issue seditionary and inflammatory statements against Biharis in Mumbai and cause law and order problem daily and take no action against him but arrest a cartoonist for pointing out corruption by politicians in general and the Congress in particular. What the world thinks of their action is shown by the reward that is being bestowed on him by The Virginia, US-based Cartoonists Rights Network International Just as in the British times, anyone associated with the Congress party was considered anti-national and arrested and put in jail, the UPA thinks anyone associated with the Anna movement against corruption as Anti-National

I do agree With you. The freedom of expression in India is gradually and systematically been withheld and severely restricted for years by this current administration. For time being it works for them, but the AAM AADMI have realized the game plan, and are actively increase their resistance against this diabolical design.

The reporduce of Insult to Nation in a real,meaningful and easy to understand way is not a an INSULT. IT IS EDUCATION OF ALL INDIANS IN SIMPLE WAY. He should be awarded for his guts and saying the truth. Simple question to Constitution of India.. Can a person wrapping indian flag as blanket can Ray...ape Mother India, loot and dishounor India. MPs did the same sitting in Parliment. I dont think any issue here. If at if any the original culprits should be brought to book. If I have right to elect then I should have right maintain my vote for 5 years. When Any MP can change loyalty at any point in time why not a common Indian?
