Congrats for her individual performance but she is a product of an American system even though one of her parents belongs to Indian origin. We should claim this as a National achivement. This achievement is purely American

call her a human being first and say a human has done this than saying which country has achieved it - i don't want to call u a sin on the womanhood as u seem immature on ur comments
Let us congratulate Sunita for her stupendous achievement, but only at an individual level. Let us not go overboard and claim it as a national (read: Indian) achievement. Sunita is, no doubt, an icon and inspiration for many. But, her parents chose the US over India to live their life, and by extension she is the product of the American system. So, it would be a great disservice to the American nation if we start claiming people of India origin who are American citizens and who have achieved greatness, to be one of our own.

Indian govt should encourage more and more Indian students to migrate to USA. We will be proud of them all!

There has to be a quota for their migration too. if you are 10th standard pass or fail and are in the bracket of any category then you can run for US presidency too. Our government will be happy to send all thinking class to other countries and have the left over as slaves and loot anything and everything. Shame on the government. We are trained to be happy seeing indians achieve success in other countries.
