If this man knew he was leading an army for a corrupt government, he would have avoided calling himef a "COWARD", were he to resign as soon as he knew it.

Moral grounds? Morals of VK Singh came to surface only after frustratingly losing the case in Supreme Court.

Gandhi and Nehru spoiled this country
by swati on Oct 29, 2012 07:57 PM  | Hide replies

This is the disservice done by the first generation political leaders like MK Gandhi, JL Nehru etc., who no doubt were instrumental along with others like SC Bose, Bhagat singh, Raj guru etc, in throwing out British imperialists from this country, but failed to establish and orderly political situation in this country. Because of the double standards adopted by these politicians who hogged the limelight in the independent India, educated, right-thinking, professional-minded citizens have remained away from politics. Only hypocrites, intellect-starved, money-muscle strong people who lacked a vision have entered and remained in politics. How can an individual live and survive in politics if he has to "buy" votes? People in this country are seen as a "commodity" to be bought and discarded after use. Right-thinking people are at threat, never as before. Union minister, that too a qualified lawyer and more significantly, holding the portfolio of Law ministry in the national government holds an open threat to a prominent person, says he would be eliminated if he visits his(minister's) constituency and nothing happens, except that he gets an elevation to a glamorous and more "responsible" ministry. Can anybody in this country walk "safe" with this kind of politicians at the helm of affairs?
