UID having hidden agenda- common man made fools
by eleuterio carneiro on Oct 26, 2012 09:51 PM

All happened at my work place in Goa, one young lady brought photo copy of her UID( Aadhar card) to the Headmaster of our school for certification( making true copy. Headmaster of our school nor that yung lady could not identify the details and photo shown on the UID as same as the person producing it. Headmaster was not having excess to the common server of the UIDAI to verify the details of the person. So you understood what is so called UID ?. It is day light robbery of our Biometric data, which is our privacy and personal details, sold to the private companies to whom the contracts were given under Private -Public- Partnership basis. In Goa all goans blindly did the so called AADHAR CARD.I sugest those who have not, dont do it. Can this AADHAR CARD save us from corruption ? as in Goa, can it save us from MINING SCAM ? can it save our LAND from LAND sharks ? can it erase POVERTY from INDIA ? or DEAR PRIME MINISTER this so called AADHAR CARD can distribute to the poor the food grains from the granaries before they are dumped to rot ?

Threats to UID/NPR database from data mining corporate mafia
by kinggurudev on Oct 22, 2012 11:26 PM  | Hide replies

Kindly pay attention towards what Davinder Kumar, Deputy Director General of Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) will have residents/ citizens of India believe about the three transnational biometric technology companies (now two) working with foreign intelligence agencies namely:
1) Satyam Computer Services/Sagem Morpho,
2) L1 Identities Solutions and
3) Accenture Services
who have been awarded contracts by UIDAI on 02-02-2011 and 30-7-2010 that “There are no means to verify whether the said companies are of US origin or not” in a reply to Right to Information (RTI) application dated 21st July, 2011. This is quite an alarming omission that is likely to put residents of India under surveillance using delivery of public services as a fish bait for ever. L1 and Accenture were US companies. Sagem Morpho belongs to Safran group, a French conglomerate. L1 has now been been bought by Safran. These companies admittedly work with US and French security agencies. If there is no threat why is even an unaccoutable Intelligence Bureau is examining "security risk" from it. "super cop" UIDAI or National Population Register (NPR) is a threat to democratic rights.

How to make UID secure
by Kris Dev on Oct 21, 2012 07:48 PM  | Hide replies

UID can be made secure, more secure than manual data, if implemented with proper security control and implemented by an independent and neutral third party similar to ICANN for internet. The concept similar to bank locker (ownership and custodianship) can be adopted. Multiple controls can be adopted. The government or any government controlled authority should not have any control over the data. It should be implemented by a public agency. The number should be random, anonymous and secure at the backend and should be linked to any individual only against specific authority of individual or a court order.

Search for 'Practical risks of Aadhaar/UID project' and learn more before begging for tyranny.

what non-sense aadhar
by vinay on Oct 20, 2012 07:04 PM  | Hide replies

earlier, mutual funds started issuing some id nos. to investors. suddenly, they stopped the exercise, then again after couple of years, they started kyc registration. every year, new things come up for harassing ppl to whims n fancies of govt.
7-8 years back, maharashtra govt asked every citizen to go for compterised ration card. every 1 started in long long queues wasting hours of valuable time. even after 8 years, result is nil.

it is one way to take the money out from treasure to the "right" pockets. How long will it take for our people to understand what is going on? Black money has already crossed 176000lakhs due to such projects.

UID & Framework for Mandatory Electronic Delivery of Services
by kinggurudev on Oct 20, 2012 04:07 PM

"Legal Framework For Mandatory Electronic Delivery of Services" mentions "UIDAI – UID based authentication for services" as an enabler according to Union Ministry of Communications & Information Technology. Fellow citizens must be vigilant about threats to their rights before reposing blind faith in initiatives like UID, National Population Register and Public Information Infrastructure.

UID a big hoax on the people of Bharatvarsh.
by chanakya maurya on Oct 20, 2012 02:34 PM

The first one was the ration card.

Aadhar, incapable of delivering a card to a person registered 17 months ago, is malfunctioning.

The strangest part is that those who registered much much afterwards have received the cards.

What happened to those who were early birds ?

Either Nilekani must clean his house or step down. He has been bestowed a lot of powers.

Why is he not using them ?

Or does he have political ambitions ?

Convert the whole country into a bhikhari land.
by chanakya maurya on Oct 20, 2012 02:24 PM  | Hide replies

The whole exercise is a very big nonsense.

Aadhar, a tool for one's identity, still in its infancy and incapable of delivering is being relied upon in a big, undue and unwarranted hurry.

The ultimate aim is to present the governance as a big donor and the recipients getting a bhikhari treatment.

Instead fix a date by which all domestic LPG users must convert to piped gas.

If you cannot meet the cookin g gas requirements of the people you have no right to continue your governance.

Just call for an early election.

Stop giving the parting kicks through a dumbell PM and captive cabinet full of amichands, rajas, ranis and chambalites.
