It is wrong for India to continue to invest in uranium-based reactors as that will expose it forever to blackmail by foreign suppliers. Rather, India should develop thorium-based reactors as it has the largest thorium deposit in the world. Uranium-based reactors are imposed by western powers that do not want a technologically independent India.
