why the mahrastrians are so furious on belagavi issue this place belongs to karnataka from much before 12th century..its their own land ..just bcos marathi people migrated and leave ther..it doesnt mean it should b given to maharastra...this is utter nonsense...let them watever in their own land its their issue...first marathis shud think about their own land rather own capital..they have given it to outsiders...first take care of ur ownland then keep an eye on others...wat foolishness
the one at Bangalore itself lies unoccupied, any time public go to visit, the ministers are not present.. either they operate from their luxury hotel rooms or from their party offices, its just waste of public money.. instead if the money was spent on bringing up the infra, roads, hospitals. village sanitation.. Ii think whole of Belgaum would have benefited.. it’s not just waste of money in building it.. but they keep putting bigger bills on maintaining it.. just a new way of looting
Dont consider silence of Maharashtrian politicians as they have not with Marathi people of Belgav. I am sure..they will unite and fight a strong case in Supreme court & will definitely win.

Enough of challenging law. Belgaum belongs to KN. Tamils will stand by Kannadiga brothers on this. Rule of law should prevail whether it is Belgaum or Cauvery. Baseless allegations and doubting Supreme Courts and tribunals will just take us back to colonial age.

Well said. There are minorities everywhere, and then they integrate and work together. Rule of law and sanctity of courts should prevail whether it is border or river issue. Only then we can live in peace. Why does MH want more land? Make sure whole of MH develops otherwise Vidhabha itself is going to split soon.

@ rajesh belgaum is ours and entire maharastra shares its culture with karnataka and kanndigas. example: that the names of places in the Maharashtra language were mainly Kannada names. Kenduru is a place with a pure Kannada name near Pune. Further, Thana, Kulaba and Ratnagiri - which are Marathi districts - are full of villages with Kannada names. For example: Poyanadu, Shirola, Kallamatha, Devarakoppa, Akkalakoppa, Ulavi, Attigere, Mosale, Neruru, Pale, Devuru, Doni, Nirgade, Kanakavalli, Brahmanala, Ganagapura, Kuradivadi, Kalasa are villages in Maharashtra! Shri Rajawade, a prominent historian of Maharashtra has admitted that more than half the names of places in Maharashtra are in Kannada!

& kumbha- you mean to say that these places were inhabited by your kannad people. and can you tell me in which year kannad people left these places and why? where they settled then. do you find any traces of kannad people in these places? where native kannadais have gone? why cant they come back claim them now? and from which places marathis migrated here? and what about karnataka? you were directly thrown from heaven into karnataka when universe was formed or you also migrated from some place to karnatka? do you have answer?

maratha regiment was put into belgaum by moguls its not they created their own force...the oldest freedom fighter of india rani chennamma was fron belgaum..then who is she..it was ruled by hoysalas which dynasty they belong to...dont comment blindly..
