Yes we have to change our mentality as far as handling rape cases are concerned.
But never think or generalize that girl are holier than thou.
Everything should be balanced.
Rape cases should be handled sensitively care should be taken that the girl who is already traumatized are better handled by professional counsellers.
At the same time care also should be taken that boys are not treated unjustly.
Fast track courts should be set up especially to handled rape cases.
Harsh punishement like castration/death should also be given but at the same time in false cases girls should also be punished with the same intensity.
B cos recently in consideration with the Haryana rapes a 19 year pregnant lady was raped. In this case the lady herself called the person in the dead of the night and went to meet and was gang raped by him and his friend. Now what was the compulsion to meet the person at such odd times.
So what ever the person told he may have exaggrated the percentage but it has a lot of truth
cong minister is not entirely wrong..even if a couple elopes for marraige..FIR is registered for rape and kidnap case..if girl age is less than 18,and she copulates with her consent..still it is considered rape in indian law...i find it absurd..
