True again. People were dying with hunger for freebies. Farmers got used to getting free power and free bank loans. And government servants were dying with hunger for maamuls.

Its hard to beat the socialist mindset ingrained in the Indian people and the corrupt ways of the babus. Thats why people dont understand that you have to pay for your food/water/electricity. And if you dont have money you have to earn it.

Atleast to his CBN's credit he attempted and to an extent succeeded in forcing the kids of the farmers and mid income families to explore other avenues of employment. He conveyed that freebies cant go on for ever even if you are poor.

Look at what aam admi's saviour has done to the India's finances. By doling out freebies to 'hungry' people.

Freebies??? Then why this cunning man is telling that he will give rice free, power free, education free and so on. That means whatever YSR did was correct and he did ahead of this cunning man.

But his papers owned by his caste person made sure that the image is perfect...But at the end people understood his right attitude and color...thrown him out...for similar monster...

You increase sales tax from 8% to 14.5%
and sell away govt lands and relentlessly open wine shops the budget goes up in no time. But increased budget does not mean progress. Gujarat's budget is only 50 thousand crores. Punjab is 45 thousand crores. Is APs progress more than them? Your game is over.

Clearly shows why NDTV liek channels are so pro-Congress.. They just cant bear that someone of CBN's stature can do this.. CBN was neither anti-farmers not disconnected from rural AP.. YSR's influence and stature helped him brainwash some of farmers into believing that there was a golden period that could come once he comes to power. But the farmer suicides never came down.. Hope AP people open their eyes and bring back CBN to power..

Focus on his Administration
by xbm on Oct 02, 2012 08:10 PM  | Hide replies

I wish Mr TS Sudhir focused on his administration skills rather
than his personality. Every person has some flaws or the other,
And so does Chandra Babu Naidu too. But if you compare closely enough the development during his tenure and during the tenure of
YSR and his congress cronies the facts are obvious. What ever CBN
has done in his two terms of rule has been undone by YSR.

The writer points out that he was the CEO of AP inc. What's so wrong in that, I am happy that he focused on something rather than
nothing. I agree that he could have done a little more for the farmers and agriculture, but i would like to ask what has congress and YSR have done to the farmers other than just offering free power, which was not even given. We all know how power sector is in the current situation in the state and in the centre. The power crisis came because of bad mis management.
When was the last time we had 4-5 hours of power cuts in the cities and in a season like this ? Tell me one thing that the congress has done right since 2003 in the state. One accomplishment that they could proudly say.

I see this as the last opportunity for the people of the state. They made the mistake of electing congress twice and payed the price for it. High time.

I too believe this is the last opportunity to bring back its lost glory in the regime of congress in the name of endless corruptive schemes. All these so called developmental schemes made public unproductive and unaccountable - what is the return on the lakhs of crores of money spent on NREGA and it created endless corruption in the name of development and jalayagnam.

CBN is the one who could dare to say no more free lunches by making a meaningful increase of Rs2 rice and holding the administration accountable. AP power corp becoming GENCO and TRANSCO is the part of reform that CBN has undertaken, privatising some unproductive industrial setups like Allwyn, strengthening AP Ind corp, etc. Who could dare to go out and invite foreign investors with little help from central govt. That is CBN and this ithe admin for progress.

The way he managed the draught situation is hallmark of his administration. True as we all know he focused on the IT or in other ways emerging opportunities that gave an impression that he is not interested in agri.

In the current mess created by political abuse and corrupted minds and losing hold of TDP I wonder if he can be back in power in 2014. In any case he is only bankable political leader we have only thing is that he should not give into populous schemes like depositing money directly into bank accounts to lure voters in the race to Assembly. However, I wish him all the best for his padayatra and wish it bring the state of AP its lost glo

Given the present mindset of the
greedy, corrupted and immoral public in AP his return to power is unlikely. Even if he does ,he is bound to follow the success mantra of his predecessors. However, some amount of welfare has to undertaken considering the status of our society. Particularly in health and education. All other schemes need to be scrapped forthwith and the funds used for development.

Development of whom mr. Thomas? Devleopment of you rich and so called highly educated people? All funds meant for poor and lower middle class people should be diverted and build Villas and swanky commercial buildings for your people who want to live in posh villas and visit commercial buildings whenever you people get bored in your life. Correct?

So you people want to take away all the funds meant to get equality in society and use for creating infrastructure for your cars and your rich aspirations. Poor people always should be poor and serve you people. Correct? When are you going to change?

TOUGH DECISIONS
by THOMAS SEBASTIAN on Oct 02, 2012 03:59 PM  | Hide replies

during his tenure found him out of favour with public. But a leader has to take such decisions keeping long term benefits in view. One can't expect goodies all the time. There will be times when medicine has to be taken however bitter it may be. This has to be explained to the masses during his tour. Extravagance and saturated populism has milked the state's exchequer dry. So much so, that there is no money left for development. No new power plants, companies, roads , ports, airports since last 10 years. Graduates coming out of collages have nowhere to look for employment other than those IT & Pharma companies that came up 15 years back. If any one can fix these
issues it is CBN. If people don't think so, it is their funeral.

I agree 100% with your comment.
However, he is currently not giving assurance to public, especially in seema-andhra, that you can pull back AP from the current mess, which is mainly due to the agitations going on in the state. By supporting the agitations for telangana, how he is going to give assurance to seema-andhra voters that he can bring back pre2009 days in AP.

He has seen the party lose deposits in Andhra/Seema. It can't get worse than this.Perhaps in his estimate the party stands a better chance in Telangana. Indeed the cadre seems stronger in Telengana inspite of defections ,than in Andhra. Moreover, time has come to put a full stop to this vexing issue. It cannot go on and on and on. Only central govt is benefitting from this uncertnity.

Mr. Thomas, Whether is is funeral for people or funeral for your 'great leader', people will decide whenever elections are held. Just go and see the surveys of India Today, CBN, India Today and NTV-Nielsen, what is the situation in AP. If you dont know about AP politics much, please dont comment. People may think it is true.
