Indian parents by and large, are dictators..they never converse with their kids nor listen to them....they issue diktats which the kids must obey, or else...!!!

Read, understand. then read again and then try to understand again. Repeat this cycle until you have some understanding of the matter. Why comment on an issue that you have no understanding of. No wonder your school grades were so poor. Your Uncle

This is social problem

I think in western countries, the social parents and biological parents are different for most of the kids due to high divorce rate etc. so govt. takes extra care of protecting childern from "parents".

Sonia, indians are quite law abiding when they go to other countries, we are a hardworking lot..."go back to AP" sounds regionalistic & racist; grow up.

I dont think Sonia is sounding racist or "reagionalistic"...she mentioned the names of state and district, which were mentioned in the article, and nothing wrong!:)

Not only to Europe but also to US , bcoz the law of land is same when it comes to children , we are brought up in different environemnts where parents do scold/slap for our misbehaviour , but it doesnt meant they dont love us, its just another way of making someone realise his/her mistakes, which should be avoided
