Most of the extremely violent political leaders and their followers are outnumbered by common public who hate them. So instead of wasting public money on super security for them just arrest them and keep them in judicial custody wherefrom they can work to save them from public anger and minimize public expenditure on them.

Right, inside asylum it is safer than outside dominated by goons who evade justice even after committing crimes openly and challenging police and courts

In that case, probably most of the netas will be in jail.

Who is communal? Those who try to perpetuate the privileges and concessions given to some sections of the Indian society for a limited period by our well meaning forefathers and keep India on the boil divided along lingusitic, regional, communal, religious lines. Every well meaning Indian should strive toward a truly equal society with all such barriers removed for ever. Then only the country can progress forward minimizing social damages and avoiding foreign influences
FB and other social sites are very dangerous and can cause lot of social damage... one should know how and when to use it....for a change police been pro active to avoid further damage...
I was very sad to hear that our great leader is no more. What will happen to mumbai. I hope Raj Thackrey takes over him and uses a iron hand which balasaheb has used. These girls should be hanged in public for provoking and they very well knew the emotions that particular day. I think they should not be let loose and should be jailed for beaten up by the public.

At least they remained safe in Police custody.....otherwise nobody knows what these Sena guys would have done to these poor girls....They can be so destructive when they are mad....they forget humanity and behave like the Talibans
What the girls wrote would've been quite harmless had they posted it on some other day. But When the sentiment of the entire Nation is so high, one should think twice before keying in his/her words. Even a small rumor can spark big violence at such soft times. This is the difference of living in a virtual world and in a real world. Even while watching online news clippings in laptop sitting comfortably at home, one cannot actually feel what is going on outside. I too, believe their arrest has actually saved them from the mob, who have no idea of internet, keep aside Facebook. A mass without knowing the reason is much more dangerous than a mob that knows why they are doing it. So the police has taken an unwanted, bitter, but a practical step.
Anyway, hope this experience will help those young ladies to become more practical, more real, more cautious, and, on top of everything, more Responsible.
