His politics based on hate, venom and vengeance, though not justified, were due to lack of job opportunities contributed by license-control raj born out of Socialism brand of politics of Nehru Gandhi family. This unwittingly vaulted him on the top slot making the entire population of Mumbai love him and fear him.
Thackeray was perhaps just the smartest of people who wanted to rule the city - he knew the right mix of violence, religion and language politics that would get him to the top. That's not to say that all the issues that he stood for don't exist - but it is in his(party's) interest to keep those issues alive, long after he is gone.
With Shivsena taking 'Hindutva' agenda, its 'local' cause has taken a back seat! Influxed communities (SI, UP, Bihar, Gujju beparis) have taken complete advantage of this scenario...... Now, people who do not know anything do not comment!..........

Before 1993 Bomb Blast Thakrey was a devout of D-Company.He was trying to run a parallel extortion racket on the name of regional politics.Now after 30 yers It has been painted black & white but it was worst when he was roaring & now it's time for him to rest in peace & let the World live in peace & Hormony with each other .Let's shun the hatred he spread against the Indians of other Regions

this shud the belief of D-company and his followers also. Only Sena's keeping silent is not enough. Congress claiming to be secular, is keeping silent on Assam where every day, people are being killed, just because they are not from a particular religion. Shun the hatred because of a religion should be adopted by both the religions.

So what?? see the present no tthe past. I have lived in Mumbai for 35 yrs nd have seen the worst of gangwars in mumbai in my locality. U cannot be Hero fighting the villains on ur own. Hw cld anybdy hve dealt with these goondas

Rightly said.. Yadavji... He is the real Hindu Hriday Samrat.. If it is not for Sena and its cadres.. Mumbai would have been ruled by D company and the head quarters would have been Masjid Bunder and whereabouts. He is a living legend. Although Udhav is not as good as him, Raj can still do the magic which He has done.
