vote for kejriwal
by anilkumar on Nov 13, 2012 06:28 AM

We can vent our frustration against the ruling party, while at same time, just hope that the opposition comes into power, and immediately start the same cycle of corruption.Or for a change vote for Kejriwal, the current opposition voice in the country. He may not win the election but if he manages to win a decent number of votes, then the political class would know which side the wind is blowing and hopefully mend their ways.In a long term if kejriwal succeeds, then hopefully even if he fullfills half the promises he has been making then india,is in for good times. If corruption becomes an issue rather then religion and caste,,we will be truly blessed.

Politician for the past 63 years have gone scot free after loot

Corruption, Cronyism & Nepotism have undermined our democracy. How many ministers or top bureaucrats or even lowly clerks have been convicted for corruption in the 6 decades that India has been an independent country? How many times have ill gotten gains and the disproportionate assets of those found guilty of corruption been confiscated? How many times have the discretionary powers of the ministers and top officials been misused? Successive governments have rarely accorded permission or sanction to prosecute guilty Ministers or government officials or favoured industrialists.

And the people of this country do not have a right to protest the way the ruling party and umpteen politicians have been squandering & looting public wealth? Have we the people signed away all our rights for 5-6 years to elected representatives i.e.MPs, MLAs?

The rewards of corruption are instant and gainful while any punishment or action is hugely delayed, disproportionate and sometimes easily avoidable due to the protection given by the higher powers that may be and inordinate judicial delays. This is the main reason why the high and mighty have no fear of the law. Entire empires have been built with ill gotten wealth. Given the abysmal rate of conviction or closure of corruption cases, the impatience of the country is justified.

In democracy poor are selling their rights over ruling to all political parties. While justice was sought govt form a nexus with juridical equivalents. This nation is under the spell of corrupt leaders.

probing Corruption
by Bodh Ramdeo on Nov 10, 2012 09:57 PM

Too many big people, and especially Congie politicians, are on that list...
But to show they're serious about corruption, as they've always done, they'll set up a committee to look into whether they should investigate the "allegation", and then they'll set up a committee to see if they should investiage the findings of the first committee, and then they'll set up a committee to find out if the findings of the second committee deserves to be further reviewed...which will require setting-up another committee....ad nauseum!
