These laws are draconian
by Mr Walker on Nov 01, 2012 11:52 AM

These laws are indeed draconian and can be widely misused against common people who vent out their anger or frustration.

Hope good sense prevails on the UPA govt and they remove such laws.

Also normally people behave in the same manner as their rulers so best way to improve peoples manners and behavior is for the leaders to improve theirs.

Gift from `zero loss' Kapil Sibal
by Solomon on Nov 01, 2012 11:48 AM

What else one can expect from `zero loss' Kapil Sibal? Besides him, Congress also has `no mining, no loss' Chidambaram as Finance Minister, `you can go to Farukkabad, but will you come back' (poser to Kejriwal) Salman Khurshid as the now promoted Foreign Minister. If you see the common thread among these Congressmen, which also includes the likes of Manish Tiwari, the now disgraced Abhishek Singhvi etc., they are all lawyers by profession. And they are misusing their legal knowledge to harass the `aam aadmi' (mango people as coined by Vadra) in our banana republic. It is these lawyer turned Congress politicians who have turned our country into a banana republic and the likes of Vadra are enjoying the fruits of it with impunity while aam aadmi is arrested and put in jail by the police who are at the beck and call of the politicians. And we call ourselves a democracy. What a shame!

Foolish Kapil
by kumar kn on Nov 01, 2012 11:45 AM

Kapil is famous for his "zero loss" statement. He has been recently downgraded in the Cabinet reshuffle. I want to ask him -How many people use Twitter in 1.2B population of India and out of those useing it how many post offensive content? Is it worth going to all the trouble and curbing individual liberty by punishing them? If you are good and clean who will post offensive content against you? Who bothers twitting against Anna? Kapilji please stop your trying to control the cyber space and start doing some real good work for the people so that they can tweet good things about you politicians. The people have woken up and know everything going on.

FREEDOM HAS A PRICE
by Ashok Kumar on Nov 01, 2012 11:39 AM  | Hide replies

Freedom of speech should not be misused for causing harm to others. But, in contrast, it should come with a price. IF you say/write something offensive, be prepared for payment.
