What a justice!!!
by messiah on May 23, 2012 07:42 AM  | Hide replies

Once again proved how demonic and futile US law is! Kill the innocent and defend the guilty if required. I deeply regret for the parents of poor chap who lost his life and is not provided justice in his own country.
Anyway Seems Indo-US relations: Support & Save the guilty, corrupt on either side and punish the innocent opposing voices.

We should not protect ravi only becoz he is Indian

Ravi played with the life of some person. He is criminal and must be punished. 30 days prison is very less for this criminal

TC & MB played, they can play outside college, not in a shared room.
Ravi did NOT play he was just a spectator.

Ravi merely monitored his OWN room, with his OWN camera.

You definitely need to grow in a dorm to understand what sharing a room means. When you share a room with someone, you need to keep the privacy of other person intact. In this case, Ravi not only violated that by viewing in a webcam from another room but also invited others to see the webcam.

If 30 y/o MB and 18 y/o Tyler wanted privacy, why didn’t they go to a hotel for their lovemaking instead of a shared dorm room?

Ravi a HERO, TC & MB a ZERO
by Krishna Swamy on May 23, 2012 04:31 AM  | Hide replies

Ravi DARED to face the full wrath of international media and legal system.. and still survived.. truly a HERO

Ravi should SUE every media who called him names and falsely implicated him.
Ravi SUE the media and make Millions out of them.. go for it .. you are a WINNER.

TC & MB converted the college dorm into a brothel room.. their actions are UNseeable hence they could not show their faces.. stupid LOOSERs

Ravi is not a criminal; you need to know the whole case before saying this. There is no proof that Tyler committed suicide because of Ravi’s action. Judge even did not read the suicide note and told the jury that Ravi can’t be blamed for Tyler’s death.

Clementi nut case
by ashish sinha on May 22, 2012 10:59 PM  | Hide replies

what an emotional nut case Clementi was. Could not control his feelings and thought suicide is the best way out. Now Dharun has to pay the price for it. Even in India boys who are dumped by their girlfriends or emotionally hurt, blame their girlfriends for their misery, giving little thought that what you do to your own life is your responsibility. You can not blame anyone but yourself, for what you did with your life. Clementi's parents should understand this simple fact.

I am an Indian but Dharun deserved much severe punishment for what he did. By any standards he had no right to broadcast private life of anyone without consent.

What Ravi did that was wrong, there is no question about it, but someone can't be in jail because of invasion of privacy.

It is one thing to get dumped and another thing to be filmed and shown to the world one's private moments. I hope you will understand if your private moments are captured and shown to the world!

The reporter did not go to jail to videotape N.D. Tiwary. Did he? Very funny, right?

Some introspection
by Unmai Vilambi on May 22, 2012 10:38 PM  | Hide replies

Like everybody else, I too think this guys is an insensitive, biased brat, whose actions 'led' to the loss of a life. But, let us give it some thought.

Webcam spying happens in almost thousands of college dorms in the US. As much as we know, this is the only case that has led to a suicide.

If you invade my privacy, my options are:
Take it easy.
Jovially kick your behind.
Beat you up, black and blue.
Severe friendship/relationship with you.
Spy back at you.
Report to the authorities.
Kill you.
Other actions that I could not think of, or...
Commit Suicide.
Now, the last option is purely because of my extreme weakness and sensitivity, for which you cannot be responsible. And that is the reason why the judge in this case gave Dharun a 30 day jail term of 'Invasion of Privacy' and not for Tyler Clementi's suicide.

If you are raising your children, particularly in the US, you have to teach them, and make them aware of all sexual habits, deviance, eccentricities, sensitivities, and make them broad minded enough to be acceptable of all. Otherwise, you will have to cry like Dharun's mother.

What would have been your judgement if he had decided to kill Dharun, then you would be speak opposite, we Indians are cry babies, forgot the incedent of Norway? Later it came out that mother was really having emotional issues earlier they were crying hoarse and whole media in India and govt lobied to bend the rules

I second you, Ravi had no right to do what he did, and he should be punished for homicide not for initmidation or descrimination

Homicide? Really?
Ravi has no right, but Tyler should have right to bring a 30 year old man in Ravi's shared dorm room to have fun? Right? Crazy world!!
