Wretched times
by ravi prakash on May 20, 2012 03:40 PM

The incompetence of the Police, the plethora of laws, the venality of the lawyers and the political class, have contributed to reduce the law, civil order and justice delivery to a farce. It is a sad commentary on the state of the society where no one including Govt officials fall victim to the pervasive lawlessness and decline of values of a civil society. We are on our way to becoming a banana republic where ordinary people have to take to crime and violence and life becomes nasty, brutish and short.

President's rule
by asha on May 20, 2012 03:39 PM  | Hide replies

President's rule must be imposed in India. The democratic system in India has many loopholes which the politicians are taking advantage of. A strong autocracy is better than a weak democracy. And finally the President must be having a SPINE and not some kamwali bai like the present one.

i guess you are true.. democracy is for those societies who understand the value of it.. i guess to control a society like us we need a iron hand, like that in china.. else we all are good at taking advantages of the rights bestowed on us..

This is the reward for those who come in the way of the corrupt
by Francisco on May 20, 2012 03:38 PM

This is what happens to those who come in the way of the corrupt and that is why nobody comes forward to expose the corrupt. The Karnataka government should nab the culprits involved and expose the persons who hired them to finish Mahantesh. Otherwise, people will be afraid to complain against anybody, hereafter.

Not only BJP, you cannot expect justice from any government ruled by any party because nobody like truth to come out. All the rich and powerful people are the same when it comes to cornering them which ever party they belong.

Why only BJP , every politician is the same, Unless people of this country play football on the lawns of India gate ,with the slaughtered head of these politicians country will go nowhere. The political class as such is interested in saving the thiefs, rape accused, murderers etc. Let blood flow on the streets of Delhi and other Metro cities as a wake up call.
