A different scenario
by Vishvaksenah E on May 06, 2012 05:13 PM

Had the dead fishermen and the owner of their fishing vessel belonged to a "non- secular community" [ read Hindu], the whole episode would have been hushed up and nobody would have heard about this incident.

But in this incident, the dead fishermen belonged to the 'secular' community.Hence it is but natural that a lot of noise has to be made.
Had the "aggressor ship" belonged to any other country, there would have been lot of shouting.

But then the ship belongs to a country whose citizen is the defacto PM of India.

That is what made this incident very interesting.
But at the end, the will of the defacto PM has prevailed.
"Secularism" is safe and everything is okay !

been 40 yrs at sea.at times fishing craft keep following the b vessel to selll fish or want of fuel.today with these piretes no one is going to take any risk..this boat was 3km from the ship came to 100 meters.i dont blame the marines as they are kept for the safety of the ship and the crew.so many indian sailors are still held by somali pirates as our govt has no guts to attack them

It happened in international waters the court should be held in some other country? Even though 2 Indian fisherman were killed? These eytalians belive that because one of their subject rules India, they will get away with murder.
