Some is blaming the government, and other on the Rain. Some even blame PM and Sonia. What the heck happened to you all. Apart from a little thing called maintenance, i can squarely blame the fault on the Captain of the ferry. Its a Ferry, not a Tank. It cannot sink that easily if the captain can help it. Usually these boats are driven by less experienced folks. Blame the Management of the Ferry. Govt cannot put their nose in everything. There is a little thing called ownership and every major depat has to excercise that.

This is the perfect time to punish the culprits who put more people in the ferry than its capacity and also for not haveing life saving boats as per regulations. The problem with INDIA is that no one ever gets punished to the fullest lenght of law and hence things like these keep happening.
Punish the responsibly party so harshly that ever other person who owns a ferry will never try to over load people or go in water without all proper safety equipments.
Assam's one of the most beautiful states in the country and certainly needs a lot of attention. I am amazed that many people are not aware of the river Brahmaputa. All people know are about ULFA. That is because the media likes to gain as much momentum with one subject of insurgency. If infrastructure is built, Assam can be a very powerful state. It has oil, an oil refinery that is more than 100 years old, oil came in 1889, petroleum distillates, tea, coal, minerals siphoned out from the state. Does anything ever come back to the Assamese except for central negligence. The tea that we drink comes from Assam. One of the finest pekoes and crush turn curls. Ever made friends with the Assamese? Simple, very neat and they have a wish to be in the mainstream of society. How about doing something in the Eastern part of India? Set up an automobile factory, generate jobs, how long can we expect to sustain jobs created by the British in the tea plantations, oil fields, etc.? People need to improve living standards. There will not be boat tragedies if people have better equipment to elevate quality of life with better public transportation. The night super buses are fantastic, thanks to the private players, who are basically SMEs. The river Brahmaputra is one of the largest rivers in the country. Life ain't all about cricket and politics. It is also about social well being. Can the media be wiser before the incident and report conditions to highlight the conditions beforehand?

in pakistan also people life not so cheap
in srilanka also so little coruption
bangaladesha politicians also better compare to india
nepalese also lesser corruption
why india judicial system so slow ? why only farmers , hardworking employis, customers in india has to suffer always ?
even after giving reciept of purchase, you can not be sure of consumer right in india ? who will come for busines in india ? how will money come corectly in india ?
so like this if continuing , ver sooon india will sink
we indians have to finish corruption to maximum 1 rupees per purchase now it is around 2000 Rs / purchase on average
why will govt worry ? it is getting enough money from tax money , even surplus money to do corruption.
did P.M. Visit the Assam state condition? When she is o unfit she is unfit as PM too. What a pity of Indian people who never cared but they voted ith out seances.
