honesty

The politician take mileage for the honesty of a so called ragpicker who is not by choice but by circumstance it our duty bound to help her earn a living not by talking honesty at high levels wherein the corruption begins with us and we cultivate in our own homes, how many of us can vouch for our ownself, just to get some work done we grease palms of our shameless officials who in turn do the same to get lucrative postings. Its a in thing to boast how quickly one gets his work done by this method.we applaud and join in procession/morcha fighting corruption, but do we fight within ourself to end it.

Lower strata of Society Honesty

Around a month back a lottery seller in Kerala, who had kept aside a lottery ticket for a poor worker ( bought on credit ) informed him when it won a Rs 10 lakh prize. Similar is the case here. I can say greed starts coming in when we start earnning more. Truly a 99 kaa pher.

Outstanding honesty
by Shankar Rao on Mar 23, 2012 09:13 AM

Amazing that there is someone from the poorest
sections of the society can show such outstanding character. We talk about and preach so much of morality and strength of character. But here's someone who just didn't get tempted. That steely resolve to stay honest even when there was such an opportunity that could change her life - needs to be rewarded much more appreciatively, something which will help her to turn a new page in her life. Wonder if the media talked about it?

In India honesty is only at the rag-picker level. Higher they go more corrupt they get. After all it is Maya Jaal and very few realize that and try to come out of it. Are you one of them?
