I think the story is going to repeat any every major city of India. From what i have seen in some of the big cities, there are plenty of old buildings with cracks, no maintenance, no proper insultion or firefighting devices.
The concerned authority people are busy sipping tea in their AC rooms and going around in AC cars to attend functions and parties with no botheration about their duties.
I think it is time people should come forward and take necessary steps to avoid such accidents.

There is no scam here. The coal mines were given to industries for captive consumption of the coal as coal production in the existing psus was not enough. This is a policy decision by the government. Everything should not be seen through the reverse end of a telescope.

A loss is a loss. The income to Govt has been deprived by poor policies or hand in hand with the looters & scamsters. All these ends up in more taxes on our head. WHn pranab stated that just becuase of increasing tax slabs Govt incurs loss or a deficit of 4500 Crores. If these 10.7 Lakhs or 2g 1.7 Lakhs would have been saved, it would be better for common people. This govt has faultered in every areas.
If decades old markets cannot be dismantled, they may be needed to set fire. What do you say ?
We need to clean the country out of garbage and bring a new, spacious and beautiful India at any cost.World is laughing at us the biggest slum in the entire universe.

On your next visit to Poschimbongo, I suggest you visit the Kolay Market near Sealdah railway station. It may perhaps be the largest wholesale vegetable market in India and is open 24/7. A visit to this market is a salubrious experience.
