without their permission is wrong and illegal. Regardless of the personal choices made by the vicitim(s). That means if the late Clementi was with a girl at the time, the accused's actions would be just as wrong, no more and no less than they are now.
Pity Clementi had to die, I do believe if he were a bit older, he would not have reacted in this way.
I hope young men and women globally can learn from this incident.

but it is not major crime..might get only 6 months time. if roles were reversed, definitely whites would film indian guy and mock him. in fact they love these ways of showing up immigrants

Yes, you are right it is not a major crime, the accused is too young. Clementi's reaction, while very unfortunate was a bit over the top.
However, in the event the roles were reversed, would the white accused, be treated more leniently?
BTW, do you actually know Indians, NRIs that have suffered at the hands of these whites?
