Wherever bjp rules it is a shame in India, riots, looting, arson, encounter killings, dividing people, judicial subversion, dancing on samadhis, religious intolerance..

Powerless Indian constitution ??
by saurabh bhardwaj on Mar 09, 2012 03:17 PM  | Hide replies

The killing is an obvious plot and was executed by the mafia group. The muscle to kill an IPS office publically shows how powerful and brutal the killers are in that area. Is the govt. mean only for making roads and coming for votes after 5 years. The Police officers should themselves take a stand and come out because they carry the emblem of tiger which shows their strength. Politicians will never act as they have to run govt. through such mafia's. A matter of National shame. Me, U and everybody should float messages and see how those who hold the key to justice handle this . Horrific event. To hell with such a coward govt. and such powerless officers who still dont stand and act ..

You are only partly right Saurabh, as one IAS officer said in the Roltary Club meeting in Mumbai, that the problems with themajority of Indians is,"more than appreciat ing the criminals, they lionise and worship criminals".

Balan, I understand this but the point is the matter should be given a priority. The probe should be on a high level. The govt. should take actions on wht he went alone, as may be no cover was provided ! Was it a planned murder, the involvement of high level criminals or politicians should be seen into .. Its unfortunate to loose an honest officer .. And those who worship criminals are obviously nt right even if majority supports them .. I dnt and i hope neither U do ..

This is true especially in the Northern Belt of UP,MP and Bihar where the Govt is controlled by the mafia gangsters either direct ly or indirectly. The recent events of killing the upright and honest Govt officers bear enough testim ony to it.

Have some basic common sense training for IPS officers and police
by kumar kn on Mar 09, 2012 02:02 PM

My condolences for the officers family and I resepct his fight for honesty. But at the same time, reading the narration of the events, I find that the training imparted to IPS officers is sorely lacking in common sense.
In this situation, when the tractor did not stop, the officer while following in the jeep should have tried to shoot the tyres of the tractor. It is clear it was not done. Further,
it seems that his jeep over took the tractor and then he got down on the road and tried to block the tractor . That is a big mistake.
What he should have done is-- Park his jeep bang in the middle of the road sideways so that the tractor has to stop or atleast slow down and then shoot the tyres of the tractor.
Instead, bloacking by standing on the middle of the road is not the wise thing to do. The tractor/truck drivers are uneducated and do not mostly have rational thiking and get angry fast . They mostly wotn think and would do only such rash things. So it is not wise to expect them to slow down or stop just because someone is in the middle of the road. Hence IPS and police officers must be given proper training and situational games. There is no point in blaming BJP or COngress .. That comes later.

Needs Investigation / Driver Callousness cannot be Ignored
by Indian Guru on Mar 09, 2012 01:50 PM

IPS officer should have been more careful than being callous. The pictures in TV and print shows that the Tractor has overturned and definitely its not a case of a planned murder as there was a chase.

1. He should not have been standing in front of the Tractor.

2. The Tractor may have been at a high speed, with the Driver drunk and tractor loaded with heavy granite. The tractor driver may not have tried to stop all of a sudden but may have tried to veer away from the path and hence the overturn.

3. The Driver has definitely committed crime by carrying granite and was trying to escape from the police and to avoid paying bribes..

4. The jeep was not hit at any point of time indicates that there was an attempt to escape and not murder.

5. The IPS officer, should have shot at the driver or the tyres instead of standing in front of a speeding tractor.

Sometimes the Image of the police and their arrogant attitudes dealing with public does not make them an automatic hero. The police and beurocratic departments are equally immersed in corruption and use harsh tactics of beurocratic power, thus making them a villain in the eyes of the public..

Let the dust of political one upmanship settledown and let the investigation take its own path..
