by Cuthbert Calculus on Jun 12, 2012 09:37 PM

The police can ask the person who told him to get a license to identify the gun if one was found near his body.

Avtar singh did only one mistake-he should have shot the lunatic mr.kazi before killing his family!atleast one more of his ilk would have been deducted from their population in India!

He called police to inform about his departure. Cruel governments. Both had sponsored livelyhood but failed in protecting from legal antics. He was a fugitive and father of three children. India ignore brave soldiers.

In kashmir 99% killed are not innocent. Killed person was so called human right activist. Those activist never spoke about killing of Kashmiri panditis or mass exodus of Kashmiri pandits but only but problems in army work.

The lawyer who was allegedly killed by Maj Avtar was an activist of JKLFF, who killed innocent and unarmed Air Force personnel in valley. Why the killers are getting VIP treatment and a brave soldier was made to run from own country??????
Rightly said brave soldiers are ignored they are just tool in the hand of politicians.

Before I make any statement, I must mention that I always believe that many of the human rights activitists, such as arundhati roy, are nothing but pawns of bigger power that have a keen political interest in India's instability. But after reading this piece, I have a feeling that anti-ter roar easm activists are apparently just the other side of the same coin. Look at this guy. He was awarded four times by the president for his bravery. But looking at his past, courage appears to be his last strength. In reality, I feel that he was just another merc cenary, like the ter roarists from let. Otherwise, what can explain the cold bluded keeleing of the lawyer in J&K? Bravery and courage are words to be used for a person that stands up against a heavily amed adversary. Keeleeng an unarmed adversary falls on the borderline of morality, but certainly does not deserve to be mentioned as bravery.

And look at the bigger picture. We have Narendra Modi who is denied a visa for not acting against the per pet rators of violens in Gujrat and we have this Singh who has muttered people in cold bluod and was still able to not only migrate to US (in all likelihood, he was packed off to US when his powerful handlers realized that his continuation in India is not a safe prospect), but also set up a successful business there.

The Indian army is in the news becoz of fake encounters & killing by some of the men in uniform for their own selfish career advancement.Examples such as Major Avtar Singh are an proof of the presence of such elements in the Indian Army. A person who can kill his own family will not take much time to eliminate an innocent Indian citizen for his self advancement.

Very Pathetic
by ACHINTA ROY on Jun 12, 2012 05:28 PM  | Hide replies

A person honoured four times for his bravery meets such a tragic end. He should have allowed his family to survive. But in such state of mind, logic does not work. Brave solider and your family, rest in peace.
