This supposed US largesse is detrimental to India's interests
by Ujwala Kulkarni on Jun 12, 2012 05:37 PM

US wants the business for their companies which will arise out of their dumping outdated n-technology on India in the name of the Indo-US nuclear deal. Not only is their technology expensive and outdated, the US is also a HIGHLY UNRELIABLE TRADING PARTNER. Remember Tarapur? They sold India the n-plants but soon refused to supply the fuel (enriched uranium). US is NOTORIOUS for reneging on business commitments for purely political reasons. What is the guarantee that the Tarapur situation will not repeat in case India goes ahead with purchase of more n-plants from US? Any agreement with US is worth only the paper it is typed on for HONOUR (HONOR as they choose to call it) is something they do not have.

Will congress resolve this issue?
by Grizzly on Jun 12, 2012 05:21 PM

Never!

congress only does anything if it gets enough money in swiss banks. And until now it hasnt got enough.

this useless govt is wasting such a big opportunity to seize this moment and make India a country with excess of power not shortage like it is now.

Yes. They should know who should be paid how much kickbacks. After all, the politicians and bureaucrats should not starve to death. How will they feed themselves without some generous contributions to their Cayman Islands, Swiss accounts?

Golden,
This is not about Zionists or Islaimsts - this is purely business from USA point of view. There is nothing about relegion here. We indians unlike you brainwashed islamists od not view everything thorugh prism of relegion. Its BUSINESS.
