The caption is absolutely right. There is a huge infiltration of bangladeshies from the borders of Assam. Govt. should take stern steps to drove away these bangladeshies from our country otherwise we cannot expect any peace in Assam state. The Govt. should take immediate action by appointing a high power commmittee headed by a Supreme court judge and throw all these foreigners from our home land and thereby establish peace in this region. Not a single second to be wasted.
Assam has two kinds of Muslims - indiginous Muslims which has previlaged position and the other is immigrants from Bangladesh. These immigrants are peasants and manial labours. This is the group which is the cause of concern. During pre-British era the population of Assam was very low with abundant furtile land.Britishers for their own business interest allowed influx of this class to cultivate and settle in Assam. This caused resentment amont the indigenous people of Assam. The Line System was introduced by the British. According to this system the immigrants were required to settle in certain definite area and were not allowed to take up land or settle in any other area. But the line system was slowly abolished. Now, even after partition this influx continued causing demographic imbalance and fear among the indigenous ethnic tribes in Assam.
The caption is absolutely right. It is mass opinion that huge infiltration of bangaldeshies is seen from the borders since decades. The infiltrators have established rights like voting, ration cards, etc. This is due to Govt. having no control over the infiltration. The security seems to be not tightened at the boarders. Stringent measures to be taken to control infiltration and also recognise the foreign elements in Assam and drove them away on war-footing, then you will expect peace in Assam. Temporary measures would not serve purpose. A high level non-political committee headed by a retired supreme court judge should be given powers to decide the foreigners living and dictating terms in Assam irrespective of religion should be thrown away from our country without delaying even a second.
We have enoughof problems in India due to over population, migration from outher countries etc... let us not compound our problems with more migration from Bangaldesh. Do stop infiltration at all costs.
Now that Hindus are being butchered by illegal Bangladeshi immigrants ,there is nobody to support them.But when it comes to Narendra Modi,everybody is after his head.Why doesn't anybody cry for dead Hindus in Assam.

Everyone is after Modi - when all he did was defend his people. Taru Gogoi, manmohan Singh - being Hindus and Indians - have failed to protect their own men. What a shame.
I am an expat Bangladeshi living in Canada. I firmly believe that the writer offers a very balanced unbiased true report. Assamese will soon find themselves as minorities in their homeland and one day they might see their homeland will be partitioned unless they are serious to stop this illegal wave of immigration from Bangladesh.Inaction is will bring the death of Assamese culture. Wake up, raise your voice and protect your interest

This is exactly story in Mumbai where in innocent and honest Maharashtrian reduced to minority by squatters from Bangladesh, Bihar, UP, Tamilnadu. Even so called Supereme court of India is protecting theses illegal occupant of Marathi land . Similar situation is prevailing in Delhi Gurgaon and other parts of India. These squatters are bringing red movement along with them. Just see what happened in Gurgaon Maruti pant

satish - u need a serious lesson in History and Georgraphy - seems your parents forgot to give that to you. Bihar, UP, TN are part of India and their residents have every right to stay in Mumbai. If you feel bad about it - eat crow. But Bangladesh is a diffetrent country.
It is a well known fact that Congress does not care for the country. Even on the economic front, the excuse of coalition politics is ridiculous. Think about it, this party prefers that the country suffer for two more years of ineffective leadership with no ability to formulate any policies than let a new government come in right away. They want their full right to loot the nation for two more years. They might think they earned that right. But in everyones dictionary the word for them is "traitor". Yes Shri Digvijay, Shri Manmohan, Rajmata Sonia, Rajkumar Rahulji, they are the biggest traitors of this nation.
