He is certainly better than the present lady president. She had been after money in her whole life in congress -- an absolute disgrace and useless -- liability of the country. This gentleman on visiting abroad atleast impress the host but this lady was only good in cooking dishes for Indira Gandhi..

One key point of democracy is to point out deficiencies of democracy! In a positive democracy, one has the right to say what he does not like about the country without fear and with a hope that it would be corrected.
If you do not like any difference of opinion, you (Jasodaben ..) are the one unfit in this democracy.

Congrats Pranabda - New President
by DEBABRATA DEY on Jul 22, 2012 02:41 PM

We are delighted Pranabda as you have become the President of India for a 5 year term 2012-17. Pranabda as President may not be like others; that is a stamp paper or a post office. He may be a hard nut to crack for clearing all government issues by any means. Pros and cons of the constitution are in Pranabda's finger tips. So, the government has to abide by the constitution in true spirit on such issues that need clearance from the President.

Apart from the constitution issue, we sincerely believe that Pranabda will refuse to maintain the prevailing lavish style of living of a President at Rashtrapati Bhavan with an unrelenting objective to cut down the huge yearly expenses borne by the government under President’s Budget allocation for a five year term. Such money comes from States' exchequer i.e tax paid by common people including rural areas down trodden people in different forms.

Only 4896 Electors elect President!!!
by true speaker on Jul 22, 2012 02:15 PM  | Hide replies

That’s where the actual problem lies. President should be elected directly from the common peoples, which will put end to Government instability, Innumerable political parties, Scams in voting and further Increase interest of peoples in democracy.

For getting long term and wholesome benefits this structure should be changed immediately

This procedure is followed in United States. The voters are educated. But, in India the corrupt/criminal/half-educated politicians take the advantage of mass illiteracy in India and getting elected time and again. During a tenure looting crores and crores of money from state's exchequers; the tax paid by common people. How can you change the ball game. You need a Ram Mohan Roy or Subhash Bose or Bhagat Singh to settle the score and send all corrupt/criminal politicians/govt officers & employees behind the bar.
