BJP headless?
by RAVINDRA BHOSALE on Jul 22, 2012 01:09 PM

BJP had no guts to fight Presidential election?
BJP has no conciseness within the party?
BJP had worry about split in NDA because of own candidate?
BJP president has no value in the party or in NDA?
Aabdul Kalam was not at all a choice of BJP it was only Sushma's game?

BJP never wanted Sangma
by vijay patel on Jul 22, 2012 12:50 PM  | Hide replies

BJP never wanted Sangma. There first choice was Abdul Kalam and he refused.
Haveing no option and no candidate and Sangama already selected by TN and Orissa parties, BJP had to follow suit and support Sangama.

BJP was never wishing to support Sangama otherwise.

absolutely correct!!!it was muddeling at the hands of this party that sangma had to pay the price!!kalam was the original choice,if at all bjp had to support sangma it was purely out of compulsion & not out of choice.now its going to be a cakewalk for the congress candidate, thanx to bjp's myopic outlook.

Purno has risen to the dazzling heights of national politics primarily because Capt Sangma chose him. I think the article could have been more accentuated on the role that Capt Sangma played as an advisor mentor and guide to Purno. At times like the ones he is going thru now Purno must have dearly felt the need of a friend. Everyone seems to have despised at this time. Politics is not the same as it used to be in the 70s.

Sangma vs Pranab
by Pushpakaran Thiyadi on Jul 22, 2012 12:29 PM  | Hide replies

It is wellwritten and brought out the present the great but small Indian psyche!.
But I would say Mr.Sangma will win his conscience in spite of losing this election.
"Meanwhile Purno may well realise that 'miracles' and 'conscience' do not really exist, especially in Indian politics, they have long become extinct!" is appropriate ending.
Cheers for Mr Sangma for his conscience!.I wish he continues to keep it.Congress has lost it a long time back after India's independence. They have not done anything for the country except bringing up many charlatans.
THERE HAS BEEN SCAMS EARLIER ALSO,BUT DUE TO MEDIA EVERYTHING COMES OUT IN BLACK & WHITE QUICKLY.YET NOTHING HAPPENS !SCAMS CONTINUE TO TAKE PLACE CRORES AFTER CRORES.
WHAT AN INDIAN DEMOCRACY!

A small correction.

Due to media, much corruption is
unknown to the world. Whatever
little we know through media were
unavoidable and some material
for TRP. There are clinching
evidences appear in media
elsewhere of some top Indian
politicians scoring money
in India and stashing it in
banks overseas. But Indian
media has nothing to probe
on them.

This is classic.
by John Seeli on Jul 22, 2012 01:16 AM

Differences on the foreign origin issue against Sonia Gandhi saw him trust Sharad Pawar and breakaway from the mother party in 1999 in order to form the Nationalist Congress Party. Purno claimed that supporting Sonia went against his 'ideology of nationalism and patriotism. (compound sentence)

Purno Sangma rejected to lick Sonia's feet (simple sentence).

Any thoughts??
