A disagreement from a Physicist.

Standard model with Higgs was never PROPOSED to be the final understanding of the fundamental particles.

The Higgs boson alone will only render an incomplete understanding which will not give a good description of the fundamental particles at higher energies. This problem is understood to exist by everyone who have studied Standard model.

So Physicists have not claimed that they understood everything. "God particle" is only a euphemism nothing more.

Physics will continue to decode and unveil the GUT one day, for sure. GUT is a technical word, not simply some "Grand" some "Unified" theory. And as it is envisaged it WILL BE discovered one day. But even that is not be claimed to be the ultimate theory.


Bose, deserved a Nobel prize for sure. Part of it certainly may be due to racial prejudice. However it is also true that there was no experimental evidence for his discovery during his lifetime. Only the delay in obtaining the experimental evidence denied Bose's Nobel prize. Finally it happened in 1996 long after Bose had passed away and Nobel prize is never awarded posthumously.

It would have been extremely curious if we had not found Higgs Boson. With so much money invested on GHC and with so many careers and the tenures at stake, theoretical physics which has not been going anywhere for last decade and winding itself up into more and more wierty theories needed a messiah. And lo and behold, we find evidence of Higgs Boson. How fortuitous!

Like religion, science also wears extremely thin robes.

It looks like this article is more about east vs west than physics. What are u trying to say? When the technology is discovered we happily embrace with a smile.we can talk history like panini. But try something new in your time instead of criticising other'efforts, whether it's china or the west. Don't quote about your ancestor's accolades.

Non-whites are not the only victims of discrimination.There are many white people who missed the Nobel prize:Avery,Tesla,Lise Meitner,Fred Hoyle,Charles Best,Stephen Hawking,Mendeleef and many others.

S.N.Bose did not conceive any particle.He gave an original approach to solve a problem that baffled Einstein.Einstein translated the paper containing Bose's solution into German and got it published.Bose showed that the particular problem of subatomic particles could be solved only by statistical approach.For this contribution Bose was honoured by the naming of the particles bosons.Regrettably,Bose did no further work,even though he was appointed as national professor.There was a debate in Indian scientific circles led by George Sudarshan who felt that Bose would have got the Nobel prize if he got proper guidance from Einstein.Many Indian physicists disagreed with Sudarshan.

Some views about Quantum Physics

Many time people get confused by Science facts and fiction movies/books regarding Quantum physics. To clear the confusion just think it as a science of probability and statistics which is applied at very small level of physical reality and logic/mathematics is much more similar to predicting head/tail in toss of a coin.

You cannot tell if coin will flip head or tail in the next draw, you cannot find one coin both head/tail in the same draw but you can tell with almost certainty that after thousand flips of the coins, counts of heads and tails will be almost 500 each.

Similarly if electron can only be found in two spin state, then next electron you observe, you cannot tell if it will be found left or right spin, one electron cannot be found in both spin states at the same time but you can tell with certainty that after observing thousand electrons, counts of electrons found in left or right spin will be almost 500 each.

With Quantum physics we can only find/predict average or group behaviour of very small particles, we cannot predict behaviour of one single particle, as Heisenberg uncertainty principle put limit on it.

Heisenberg idea is something like, if you go out in the dark to catch a thief with a torch, then although you will see better with the torch but light will also alert the thief and he will change his hiding position and your advantage of better light will be nullified.

Predators of night like Tigers also came across this issue, if they evolve bioluminescence then although they will see better in the dark but the competitor for survival will also get alert with light and run away, and thus advantage of light will be nullified. So Tigers choose to evolve more and more sensitive eyes, which can see better than competitors in the dark.

If we take photo of stars with exposure time of few seconds, they look like a bright point in the sky, but if exposure time for the same photo is few hours then stars look like a long bright line across the dark sky.

So wave-particle duality might just be our own limitation, as we cannot see electron as a point object, we try to understand it like a wave or cloud or bright line across the dark background.

Although I am not sure but it might be possible to overcome limit posed by Heisenberg and develop an atomic camera which can take photo of electrons like a discrete particle. Key for this camera are frame rate or refresh speed of the film and its sensitivity.

If frame refresh speed/frequency of camera is much higher than orbital frequency of electron than capturing electron as a particle in some frames might be possible.

External light/energy cannot be applied as it will disturb the electron, so the sensitivity of camera should decrease exponentially from maximum to almost zero within the orbital diameter of electron, so the camera can react to motion of electron coming towards it or going away from it!

My Intention behind writing long paragraphs on this web-site

For living or making money I only do jobs which hundreds of other people can do. So employer have a choice, if he feels I am expensive/unfit or unaffordable for the job, he can employ someone else!

What I feel as unique insights or knowledge, I am more comfortable to share it for free on public websites because I think if I sell something unique to the highest bidder than what will happen to those poor people, who cannot buy my service. Due to me, balance of power might shift towards rich and powerful and its not necessary that they will use their power graciously and wisely.

So I broadcast my unique views like raining and hope that wherever rain drops reach the ground, maximum fruit bearing trees and minimum poisonous trees grows out of it and I might be of some service to Humanity!

The futility of Higgs Boson as the creator of mass and gravity shall soon be apparent. It was a 'discovery' by CERN as belaboured as the discovery of faster than light neutrinoes. Gravity was there from the very beginning and not after a lapse of time. Big Bang too begs greater understanding, which the current state of affairs in physics cannot provide. I had been working on it and a day back my patent application to the USPTO regarding gravity modulation has been published.

as said gravity was there before big bang (eternal) it is the property of space that give mass to the matter not the particles that are inside the proton
