Where was BJP when PratibhaPatil was elected?
by Opinions on Jul 07, 2012 08:02 AM

PratibhaPatil even had not just corruption "allegations" but corruption "convictions" with even the RBI locking up PratibhaMahilaSahakariBank!!! She was also indicted in murderCases!!!

If they want such a spick and span President, why didn't they speak a word against PratibhaPatil or fought in the courts AGAINST that filthyLady's nominated?!!

So a signature forger has a chance to become President. Even though it is still better than the present Cook to the ItalianBarmaid, still indicates what Con culture is doing to the country.

BJP IS RIGHT. SATYAMEVA JAYATE.
by anand kumar on Jul 07, 2012 07:23 AM

PRANABDA WAS HOLDING A OFFICE OF PROFIT. CONGRESS HAS BECOME SO ARROGANT THAT IT DOESN'T BOTHER ABOUT THIS ISSUE. ELECTION COMMISSION SHOULD DISQUALIFY HIM SO THAT IT BECOMES A LESSON FOR CONGRESS PARTY. LAW OF LAND SHOULD ALWAYS PREVAIL ABOVE MEDIA, NATIONAL PARTY OR CANDIDATE REPUTATION. TRUTH IS TRUTH.

BJP should accept defeat
by Satya Vyas on Jul 07, 2012 03:23 AM  | Hide replies

The BJP shpu;ld humbly and gracefully accept political defeat at the hands of wily Congress and do not sully the reputation of President's office by making such accusations. More importantly, it is a matter of conscience and Pranav should him self backout if it is true. BJP should make it a moral issue rather than a technical to get bigger political milage out of it. Moreover, it would be best for it to abstain from voting as a protect to the way UPA tried to thrust their candidate in the name of consensus. It should do more home work and find out reasons why Pranav should not be the President of India. In fact, President of India should be apolitical, high level philosopher, thinker, statesman and honest. BJP should also honestly review their shameful defeat in U.P. elections despite there being an anti-UPA wave. The two primary reasons were: disallowing Modi to campaign in U.P. and secondly, taking tainted Kushwaha at the eleventh hour. By playing caste card, BJP had shown to UP voters that it was no different from other parties. Most importantly, Hindus feel cheated by BJP and members from other religions will never rely on them ( They will say: jo apane logo ka nahi ho saka, woh hamara kya hoga). Of course casteism, regionalism, and religionism have paid rich political dividends to others but they should understand that those parties have continued with their steadfast support to their vote banks. E.g. Mulayam has nurured Yadavs and Muslims and have stood by them always

forgery by Pranab or his emissary seems real. Cover-up, forfery are a much much more serious crimes than what may have prompted them. We don't want such shady character be the president. There is no wiggle room in such cases. End of the story.

Foolish BJP
by Satya Vyas on Jul 07, 2012 02:55 AM  | Hide replies

BJP has no brains. They are complacent and think that the only option before people is NDA as people are disatisfied with UPA. It is a great folly on their part. The U.P. elections have made it crystal clear that this will not be case. only the regional parties will emerge stronger and independents will be elected in large numbers giving large scope for horse trading and corruption. BJP would always be on their mercy for support. BJP itself will shrink and lose its stature soon unless they changed their thinking and strategy. They need to have their own stand as they can not gain power on piggybacking others' ideas and movements (Ramdev, Anna). It has to show that it has the courage to show corrupt the door. It should attarct honest and competent men/women. The most importantly, Advani ji should retire (become presidential candidate next time0 and support Narendra Modi. As at this hour, he is the only leader who, like Indira, can take BJP to power on its own. Other parties are crying foul just because, they fear rise of Modi will wipe them out. Modi has the guts and capability to rule the country effectively. In a survey conducted by Economic Times, all big idustrialists of the country voted for him as the best P.M. candidate for 2014 electrions. BJP should listen the voice of people. The riots bogey will continue to be raised against Modi by other parties as it serves their purpose but BJP has to steer clear of it, decide its own mission, strategy and candidate.

Not resigning from ISI chairman post may be an error by oversight. But BJP should be magnanimous enough to overlook the same. It is too much to expect such an attitude from BJP.
